Best Italian restaurant in town! The food was absolutely amazing, full of flavour and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was excellent from start to finish. You can really tell they care about quality and the overall experience. Had such a great time at Prego and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!
We had such a beautiful evening at Prego Restaurant and honestly it was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time.nFrom the moment we arrived, everything felt warm and welcoming. As we walked towards the entrance, one of the lovely waitresses opened the door for us with a big smile and greeted us so kindly. It may sound like a small thing, but it immediately made us feel comfortable and looked after. The atmosphere inside was elegant but still relaxed, with white tablecloths, soft lighting and a busy restaurant full of happy people enjoying their evening.nThe service throughout the night was absolutely wonderful. Every staff member was attentive, friendly and very professional without making us feel rushed. Samy checked on us at the perfect times, explained the menu and specials so well and made sure to pour water and wines throughout the night.nFor the wine, we had 2020 Domaine Famille Paquet; Saint-Veran 'Les Cras' charddonay from Bourgogne France and 2021 Boscarelli Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG from Tuscany Italy; which perfectly complemented the food.nThe food was incredible from start to finish. You can really tell that everything is prepared with care and passion. We started with the King Fish Ceviche, Tiger prawns, Eggplant and Mushrooms, and Octopus, which were full of flavour and perfectly cooked. The Tortellini seafood pasta was rich, comforting and easily one of the best pasta dishes we’ve had in Perth. For mains, we had their signature Crispy Duck, Baby Goat, Gold band snapper, lamb, and Gnocchi tomato, and they were all cooked beautifully; tender, flavourful and presented so nicely. Every dish felt special.nThe main highlight of the day was Apple Tart, which was crispy and delicious!! A must try dessertnOne of the highlights of the evening was seeing Chef Joe come out to speak with guests and check how everyone was enjoying their meals. It was such a genuine and personal touch that you do not often see anymore. You can truly feel how much care he puts into both the food and the overall experience. The owner and team were constantly making sure every table was happy, and the restaurant had such a vibrant and welcoming energy all night.nBy the time we left, the restaurant was completely full and buzzing with people celebrating birthdays 9 10 birthdays throughout the night and the waitresses singing happy birthday felt so special. It felt like one of those places where memories are made.nThank you to Joe, Samy, and the whole team for such a special evening. Amazing food, beautiful hospitality and such a lovely atmosphere. We will absolutely be coming back again soon and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Italian food and a genuinely wonderful dining experience.
I absolutely didn’t expect that this restaurant delivers duck and lamb that tantalized my taste bud like they did. The food was delicious.nnThe service was as efficient as it gets. 1 lady serving the whole restaurant, making coffee, tea, and running the front of the house.nnThe location is at street corner that easy to spot. Ambiance of office lunch where you can have a short business dinner with really good food.
Prego was honestly one of the most enjoyable dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, lively and welcoming. Busy enough to have a great energy, but still relaxed and comfortable. It had that feeling of a proper restaurant where people are genuinely enjoying themselves, sharing food, wine and good conversation.nThe menu strikes a really nice balance between traditional Italian flavours and a modern Mediterranean touch. Nothing feels forced or overcomplicated. The food still has soul, which is something a lot of restaurants lose when they try too hard to be trendy.nEvery dish we ordered was excellent. The beef dish was absolutely beautiful, cooked perfectly, tender, rich and packed with flavour. The sauce tied everything together and made you want to finish every last bit on the plate. It looked elegant without losing that comforting, rustic Italian feeling.nThe octopus pasta was probably the standout for me. The octopus was soft with a slight char that added amazing flavour, and the pasta itself was silky, fresh and perfectly balanced. It had that coastal Mediterranean feel to it, light but still satisfying. You could tell a lot of care went into the balance of the dish.nThe seafood entrée was another highlight. The prawns and scallops were cooked perfectly and tasted incredibly fresh. The little touches of herbs, oils and acidity lifted the whole plate without overpowering the seafood itself. Simple things done properly always stand out the most.nWhat I appreciated most was that the presentation looked beautiful without becoming pretentious. The portions were generous enough to actually enjoy the food properly, rather than focusing only on appearance.nService throughout the night was fantastic. Friendly, professional and relaxed. The staff made the experience feel natural and welcoming, not rehearsed or overly formal. Timing between courses was spot on and the whole evening flowed really well.nPrego does a great job of combining the warmth of Italian hospitality with fresh Mediterranean flavours and modern presentation. It feels authentic, enjoyable and confident in what it is.nDefinitely a restaurant worth visiting if you enjoy proper Italian food with a fresh twist, great atmosphere and genuinely good hospitality. Will absolutely be back.
Took my mum here for a belated Mother’s Day dinner. We had the tuna entree special which was seasoned perfectly and the mains were a decent tasteful serving.nnWait staff very polite & attentive, and we left with happy full bellies. It is on the more pricey side however commendations to the chef as the mains we had Fillet steak and the Veal were succulent and cooked to perfection.nnPrego is a great location with beaut food for that special occasion
