The Centenary Indooroopilly group are great. Today I spoke with Data re suction pool cleaners and robotic pool cleaners. He was a wealth of knowledge. He understands the intricacies of it all. Things you wouldn’t even think to ask. Superb customer service and advice. Thanks Data!
12 months of incompetence in water testing and water treatment, 12 months of using our equipment instead of theirs when cleaning our pool, damaged our vacuum head, cross threaded our waste pipe...disappointment guaranteed. Service Manager does not want to take any responsibilities, so to the ombudsman we go.....
I can highly recommend Poolwerx Indooroopilly to anyone looking for either help or supplies for their swimming pool. They are first class at both. Malcolm.
Michael will probably be relieved I will no longer be pestering him to have my Astral Viron chlorinator cell replaced under warranty; this ceased working a few years in, I returned to the store where purchased with the details of the device and a credit-card statement as proof of purchase which Office of Fair Trading tells me is valid; many reassurances things would be sorted by Michael talking to his “rep” , but after worldwide supply shortages, promises of reminders and followups…….nothing. Except buying lots of chlorine… After nearly a year, now having overhaul of several bits of gear by someone I trust, so going for a whole new chlorinator different brand. Anyway, the warranty resolution process was unsatisfactory. I would advise customers in a similar position to approach the product company directly, and obtain all communications in writing I have nothing tangible that shows my claim has even been registered.
I'm writing to inform others of our disappointing experience with our recent pool servicing by Poolwerx Indooroopilly. We had been with them for nearly 3 years and until that point had good service from our specific service person. Unfortunately, that person left the company and a new service person was assigned to us. From that point onward, we noticed a pattern of escalating cost with increasing amounts of chemicals being billed for each service; including a charge many multiples of the norm for algaecide. This was despite purchasing a pool cover on their advice, which we were informed would reduce chemical consumption in addition to reducing evaporation. Our experience culminated with us then discovering the pool not brushed or vacuumed 2 days after a service when we rolled back the cover for a pool party, despite us paying for a Gold Service. All these events were blamed on "errors" while the issue of consumption of chemicals was 'explained' with the usual technical speak of "many contributing factors". We promptly arranged for an alternative provider for our pool service and I am very happy to report that our servicing costs have more than halved while our pool water quality remains as good as it has ever been a few months down the line. We don't mind paying for quality service but clearly cost did not equate to quality in this case. This experience has left a bad taste in our mouth. Granted they refunded the difference for the algaecide charge and arranged an interval service to clean up the pool after the Gold Service fiasco but this only occurred because we caught them out. We also found their strategy of responding to written queries with phone calls somewhat frustrating while also leaving a suspicious whiff that left us wondering why the outfit would not commit to a reply in writing. All of this proved to be one error too many, especially after our earlier problematic experience with their servicing of the pool at our rental property. Therefore "Caveat Emptor" or let the buyer beware. Do scrutinise your invoices and service reports. There are other quality providers out there and I would encourage any customer who is unhappy to explore their options.
I don’t know what has happened to this previously wonderful store. Perhaps new owners? We have been with them since we put our pool in. They have done holiday pool maintenance, pool filter maintenance and we have spent so much money with them over the years. Our shed is full of their products. Michael was so rude and belligerent. He was reluctant to print out the results of our test unless we bought something. I bought some salt and then was questioned why I was not buying the other things we needed which we already had in our shed purchased from them. Then when I said I would buy the acid from Bunnings he asked why I would do that. We need the large container Bunnings sells because we have an acid doser and they are also cheaper. He then argued with me about this. Last time I bought acid from them, their container tipped in the car and spilt acid in the car. I now just buy the larger containers from Bunnings but buy everything else at Poolwerx. He did however at the end of this, take our salt out to the car, for which I felt very grateful. We are now changing our pool store. It’s a shame because Poolwerx Ind used to be so good and such lovely people.
Happy, friendly staff every time I visit. Very knowledgeable and they never push you to buy anything. They always have quality products and always in stock too.
Very disappointed with the service. Sent my son with water sample to test but he was turned away from the store quite rudely and told that they will not do the test because he wasn’t intending to buy anything. And that despite us being regular customers there for a number of years. The water sample was in their bottle too so they can see that we are their customers!!!
After almost 1 year of replacing the Hayward filter for our pool, i have experienced several issues which i never had before. So i rang up the owner and didn't get any good advice but brushed off. The pressure gauge failed within 12 months and called them reluctantly. I was told the warranty is 6 months only. Poor communications and unsupportive attitude towards customer took away all my trust and support towards my local business. Shop around wise customers!
I have been very satisfied with Poolwerx Indooroopilly over the years. I've not only used them personally but also referred them to many clients. Cristian has been a big help and continues to assist. Thanks!
