If you are after a drink and some average food this is the place to go. Had some Friday drinks. It was busy but drinks were reasonably priced. Happy hour starts at 8pm with $10 Long Islands which isn’t bad. They also start the dance floor around 9pm.
Terrible experience here. They used to have normal pizzas.. Today we ordered perry perry chicken poor pizza with basically no cheese on it. Once we complained they add frozen cheese to it brought to our table... like do you want extra cheese????... i said NO I WANT NORMAL CHEESE!! And I asked could you at least warm it up?????? At the end we got a terrible burnt pizza.. nothing you can even eat!! Will never get back there. please see the picture.
View is nice, plenty of shaded spots, I did not try the food but it smelled good. Australia, however, is not heavy handed with their alcohol, but this place came close to making a somewhat strong, off the menu, old fashioned. They could have made it a tad bigger but nonetheless it was delicious.
Not table service . Bartender was OK who served us, i got the jack burger the bread was stale and I had to eat just the fillings. My son liked his burger but left the chips so did my mum because they were like the crusts.
The food was delicious. The service after we ordered our food and drinks however was extremely poor. Understand they were a little busy but 30 minutes to just get drinks which was after the food came out.
Nice busy restaurant.. beautiful location long long waiting period .. drink was nice .. didn’t enjoy the food
You can’t beat $9.90 kids meals, salads, and the daily special a BLT burger with chips, on our day. So good! All the food tasted great and were great portion sizes. I tried the pine nut salad, the BLT, and even the kids vegemite cheese pizza and all were very yummy. Only complaint is that the waitress got several of our orders wrong we were in a large group, but no complaints otherwise.
I was only there tonight for about 1 hour or so and had a horrible experience. I was looking for a group I was meeting and couldn’t find them as I only knew 1 person in the group. I knew they were booked under that person’s name so I asked one of the bar staff if they knew where he had reserved the table. She looked at me like she was annoyed and uninterested then said she had no idea. Completely unfriendly, no smile, no apology, didn’t bother trying to help by telling me who I can ask about bookings. So I just walked away to figure it out myself. Then as I walked around looking for my group, one staff member walking towards me as we were about to walk past each other, dropped a HUGE stack of glasses right in front of my feet and broken glass went flying everywhere. If I was standing literally one step closer I would’ve definitely had broken glass on my feet or legs. I actually did feel a couple of tiny bits brush my legs but no scratches luckily. Someone could’ve been seriously injured from that. I ended up asking the security guard if he knew where my group was and he knew straight away. Your bar staff could’ve at least directed me to ask security about bookings. As I walked back inside to meet my group I noticed that the broken glass hasn’t been swept up properly, there were some small bits still there. This was approximately 10 mins after the incident. I wanted to order food so went to the quieter end of the bar. There was a bartender standing there doing nothing. I asked him if he has a menu and he said yea and just stood there looking at me- didn’t even bother to point to the menu sitting right in front of him. The menu looked like drinks only and I didn’t realise food was on the other side so I asked where’s the food menu. He just stood there looking at me and didn’t reply. No smile, no offer to help. Obviously I just turned the menu over myself and saw the food but he made no effort to help, seemed bored, unfriendly and rude. No thank you from him either just an icy cold stare. I couldn’t believe it. Your bar staff need to be taught some basic manners and customer service skills. My food order was so slow I had to go and check what was happening. I spoke to a couple of guys who were handling food at one end of the bar and they were actually lovely, apologetic and understanding when I wanted to cancel and get a refund. That was the only good experience of the whole night. I left straight after that.
Was turned down twice 2 different days by the stupid security guards. Doesn't have basic manners on how to address someone. Didn't even have any drinks and this was the first place me and my friends wanted to go in to have few drinks and chill. Security didn't give us valid reasons as why we can't get in. Reading the reviews seems like we were not the only ones. Another security came in and told us place is fully booked. But let the people behind us go in even without any tickets. This place has PROBLEMS.
The service being very poor is an understatement!!! Girl taking down my order didn't know what spring water was, my main meal came out before our starter and was the wrong meal, was told it would be another 45 minutes to correct it. I had finished the meal I was given, without any sign of our starter or my wife's and kids meal. The manager was going back and forth to the kitchen to fix orders, attempting to rush things along, her efforts were all in vain, she was running around also clearing tables. Our meals took over an hour to come out. The order consisting of garlic pizza for starter X2 kids burgers, chicken parmigiana we got served the chicken schnitzeland fish and chips, all very standard quick meals. All staff excluding manager didn't care. Luckily for us we are tourist because when we do a visit Sydney again we will definitely skip the pitiful Pontoon.
