Opened on September 27 1967 as the Kariwara Hotel, the Playford Tavern is one of Northern Adelaide leading pubs.

FINALLY SOMEONE GETS IT. I don't want to cook but my darling child doesn't eat anything except tempura nuggets and chips. She might have some veggies from my plate.  Even better, they're the dinosaur ones that are a favourite!!! I loved my burger and chips, it was a perfect amount of chips for me.  The little playground was brilliant and service was lovely, thank you

Food  was amazing  tonight  !! Cocktails were yum and the service was fast and friendly  walked  away very satisfied  after tonights meal.. Fiance had the steak and i had the salmon  both  were delicious  and fresh  cant wait to come  back the bloke who made the cocktails keep up the great work  great to see some available now  food service  drinks  10/10 %%

Went along to our local for a dinner but were disappointed.  It's the Local pub but you can't get in unless you pre book. Even on a week night when they definitely weren't busy.  To be fair they did sit us at a table, but the menu left a lot to be desired. The chef and the waitress were willing to accommodate which was lovely but it was just too much hassle. I think if the menu had more options and was more flexible it would be a better experience.

Just had the Lobster and Steak special and I'm not impressed the lobster was stone cold and the steak was warm at best, When I asked for my money back for the lobster the manager basically threw the money down on the table in front of me. I eat here probably once a fortnight if not more and I ALWAYS order my Steak Medium Well done and Mostly it comes out cooked correctly but sometimes it comes out cooked incorrectly.

Good place to eat. Might not be as “fancy” as other restaurants out there but they offer decent food at good rates and the staff are always happy and helpful. Nice family friendly place.

No compassion or understanding for someone who has lost part of their stomach due to cancer. My friend asked if the chef could replace the mushroom & spinach gravy with plain gravy as she couldn’t digest the spinach one.The carry on from staff there how the chef wouldn’t allow this then eventually after speaking to the chef he would do this they then carried on how the meal would not be the same with the spinach gravy. Totally oblivious this a medical issue to protect her health because she can no longer have certain foods. Appalling service and disrespectful to a paying customer who will never return and I will be telling all of my friends about this to.

Got to say this place rocks, meals were outstanding it's pretty busy every time I drop in so book. Atmosphere is pretty good but heck they need to get bigger right.

We all had fish, chips and salad, it was awesome great portions, left as full as. The lady behind the bar tonight with the Red Christmas top on well done for your happy personality  and friendly attitude she's put me in the Christmas spirit,

Can not beat a $15 steak bacon eggs chips and sauce in the front bar . We always eat rare and after having this meal at least 20 times we have only ever had one steak that wasn’t quite fabulous . That’s a fantastic run for rare steak .  Highly recommend
