Great pizza. Not so full that it's an oily mess but not barren either. I love pizza and I am ecstatic that I live literally around the corner from this relatively new player. I'll be back as the big man said
The upgraded menu is certainly welcome with loads of vegan options. You can also tweak the vegan options to have dairy cheese too. I visited a few months ago but found the pizza was greasy but I’m glad I gave it another go as the food has improved and is delicious. I definitely recommend the Smashing Pumpkin. Would be even better with a few more mushrooms.
Always fantastic, the best vegan pizza ever. We are addicted in this household, I dream about their Cherry Bliss & today for my birthday my partner ordered some and it was truly extraordinary. I cannot say enough good things. Thank you so so much Plain Janes! Literally eat here whenever you can, you will not be disappointed.
I've honestly never had pizza so consistently hot and full of flavour. We order from here a fair bit and not once have we been disappointed. Just the right amount of fresh, tasty ingredients and a flavoursome crust. It's seriously good and I'm yet to find a better option in the area. Update: lowered my five star rating to three, as our order last week first for us since they reopened was far from good. Ingredients had changed, most noticeably the olives, overall freshness seemed less than their usual standard and the overall taste and texture suffered as a result. We'll try once more at some point and if it's the same, we'll be looking for a new pizza joint. Hope it was a one off, cos this place was absolutely on point previously.
Based on friend’s recommendation, 9 of us gave it a go at Plain Jane Pizza N Shakes. If you have only tasted domino and hut so far, you haven’t tasted any better yet. All of us, especially our children even commented how good the pizza base was. The taste and feeling of the pan and thin crust pizzas were totally a class of its own, made us reevaluate our pizza bar-level. My wife who normally took 2 pieces of any pizza order at home, gulped 6. The vegan pumpkin pizza was heavenly, the satay chicken, salami, Hawaiian, none was disappointing. I didn’t know there was such a unique taste of pizza in Greater Melbourne. Not forgetting the yummy and fulfilling shakes. Would definitely return for more. Again, as my usual, try it yourself, don’t simply trust this post. nine satisfied customers
I think maybe there are new owners, after nearly 2 hours and 3 phone calls, got a pizza that had been thrown around, all the toppings had all slid off. I let them know as a courtesy and no apology, no nothing, just “ must have been the driver did you order through Uber” no through menulog “oh” .....
This used to be our regular takeout pizza joint. However it looks like original owners have already sold out and moved on and pizza I ordered last week was standard pizza shop fare - reconstituted ham etc. not terrible but nothing like as good as the pizzas used to be.
We ordered the vegan roast pumpkin pizza and added vegan feta and it was just ok. We've had worst but we've also had much better and not as expensive. Probably won't bother to order from this establishment again. Boring and bland.

I highly recommend these pizzas. Yummy, cooked through and not soggy. Generous with toppings and flexible with adding extra toppings. Staff are friendly. I wish they were open for lunch.
