Somewhat misogynistic staff and definitely inferior in terms of product selection and product acquisition systems for the retail customer. Maybe some trade guys like to use this place as a sort of family tradition. It's quite sad, because a few years ago Placemakers used to be a favourite place for acquiring various bits of hardware & advice. I suspect this lot won't last much longer and will have all sorts of reasons for their failure to do with external factors.nOn the bright side - easy parking and a practically empty store for folks that like that sort of thing.

Alex vane is the best! He was so helpful and friendly, I am so impressed by his service. Not only was he friendly but he served me with a big smile! Thank you Alex!

Good sized store with plenty of stuff! Usually not too busy sometimes the staff are good and approach you to help. Other times you can wander around for 10min and no one approach s you. Their prices are pretty average. I ordered a vanity the staff member was friendly and helpful. Got told the item was in Christchurch and would arrive in 1 or 2 days. Ordered it. Went in three days later ... Had not arrived yet.. they ended up selling me the show model as I needed it that day which was ok, but it had a few marks n such on it. Didn't get anything off it.

Shirley was incredibly helpful with picking out everything needed to refurbish the bathroom she clearly explained all options to fit my budget and steered me in the right direction I was so grateful for her help and lovely manner highly recommend
