Story

Pipers by the Lake is an award winning Ballarat restaurant and wedding reception centre. Located in an historic 120 year old building on the shores of Lake Wendouree and across the road from the Ballarat Botanical Gardens.

Pipers by the Lake was a finalist in the Ballarat Business Excellence Awards in 2008, 2009 and 2010 and in 2011 received a Gold Award for contemporary dining as voted by the customers of the renowned Entertainment Book.

Pipers is renowned for value and quality and the best coffee in town!

The staff were super friendly and the building was beautiful with great views of the lake. The vanilla chai latte I had was pretty and tasty however the scone was cold and it should have been warm. Even though we were eating with hands we weren't given napkins and had to search for some ourselves.

Lovely place for a coffee beautiful views of the lake and gardens. The meals look very tempting and Cakes! 😊just completed a walk around the lake

Very well located for a nice breakfast with a view ! The food was great and the atmosphere very relaxing. Beautiful building with a view on the lake or over the park. Just across from the botanic gardens. Not overpriced and good serve as well ☺️.

Fantastic, friendly service from all the staff here! The food was delicious and it was a wonderful place for us to take our dog as he could have a treat from the kiosk! We will be back!

Excellent location by the beautiful lake and very generous with their servings. Great value for money and very tasty food. Highly recommended.
