Came here to dream of a workshop I'll never have while my wife bought some fabric next door. Argh argh argh!
Local companies are complaining daily that people dont shop enough with them vs big box stores. I needed a post hole drill they had one on special for $299.00 I tried to get wife to get Saturday but she couldn't find store. I visited the lower hutt branch this morning to purchase but noticed price had gone up. I asked If I could get at $299 and Manager said sale ended thursday. After standing there with him looking at computer he said yip we can do it for that great but then continued to say but you need to look at sale end dates etc etc with a bit of a attitude. I said I'm sure it was still listed on special on friday when I checked he said doesnt matter. I said look no big deal if you cant I'll buy from trademe. And he then tells me threats wont get you anywhere.....now it maybe just me but it not a threat just a simple fact...you need sales I need the product and your attitude lost you a sale. So I walked. I'd rather give my money to a company that appreciates me. If he was onto it he simply should have said mate its monday let's do it for ya. Or no sorry I simply cant.
Five stars for the Toolshed team. Our auction item from Hamilton Toolshed was damaged in transport to us but a replacement item was delivered quickly and safely. The Petone team also helped us out and did the swap - great teamwork and customer service.
Busy shop with a selection of tools for most trades. Saturday I visited it felt a bit short staffed, mostly because one customer was lay-buying things. Patient salesman serving him was jumping through hoops to meet his needs, while several other people waited for service from the remaining staffer: unfortunate. Sadly, they didn't have the tool I needed in the end.
Always good service and friendly staff. Keep up the good work.
