Good experience as usual. Friendly helpful staff. Even greet you as you walk past... which I do appreciate. Well laid out. Plenty of stock and variety. Great spot to sort the DIY projects. They have useful "how to" videos linked in from their website which are great and clear. Definitely a Mega Store! Huge.
Great local garden shop. Always a good selection, friendly staff - great banter. Staff always pack up lots of items into a box to help transport items to your vehicle.
I purchased a pool from the Mitre 10 Petone team via click and collect today, 2 days before Christmas. I drove over from the Wairarapa to collect, and the car park was busy - inside was even busier. I interacted with 3 team members at the customer service desk - all who acknowledged me and once I was sorted with the first team member, each of the others asked if I needed assistance once they were done with their current customer. They were all so friendly, in what was an obviously busy hectic store in peak Christmas mode, they seemed to be happy to be there and nothing was a problem. A lovely young lady helped me take the large pool to my car and I was very impressed by her service. Well done Mitre 10 Petone, your staff are an absolute credit to you.
Just went to talk to someone in the store about Elfa storage and the lady there was super rude and showed no motivation to help or look for items although their systems said it's available. Kept frowning on every question. Mitre 10 , please do better training or pay them better so your employees know basics of customer service
Mitre10 Mega, say no more. Awesome place, the mega stores always seem to have all the stock. It's a place I could get lost in easily. The centers I have been to are; Porirua, Petone, Palmerston North, and Hastings. All are well laid out with plentiful lighting.
We thought we'd grab a scone and muffin for breakfast before we did some shopping. We've never had a cheese scone be so fluffy yet so dry and no taste of cheese. The spinach & cream cheese muffin was ok, really just tasted like cream cheese. The hot chocolate in a glass I found super annoying because it's too hot to hold. You have to wrap the glass in serviettes to try and hold it. I noticed other people in the cafe area that had to do the same. Such a waste of serviettes, just put it in a mug / cup that people can hold! After all that it was pretty average as well.
Nice store, but things are way overpriced. This does not surprise me as it is supposed to provide only local goods. Overall, Bunnings is a better option.
Bad experience. We did not expect a senior staff member to hold back the goods we wanted to buy while she rang the rep to prove we were wrong with what we had been told previously and THEN ring a junior staff member AT ANOTHER STORE to admonish her when the junior did NOTHING WRONG! Senior staff person at Petone was confrontational and was completely out of line doing that in front of customers. We won't go back there. Ever.
Just another M10 super store, staff as usual where helpful and could point out to where we needed to head for what we came for. There was a huge platform in the way, no staff about to help so we moved it, a chap appeared from nowhere and growled us, moved it again to another area, again in front of what we were looking at, asking if he could move it again became a scowl, he moved it, and stamped off like we were interfering with his day.
Me and my husband visited this store for the first time to yesterday Sunday 13th around 10.30ish and we were asking a young man to help us find a mesh netting for our pool. He asked us to follow him which we did and he proceeded to ask another older man about where this product could be found, instead of facing me to tell me he was rude and spoke to the young man that we would have to look around to find it. When the young man turned to us to repeat what the older guy said, it's all good will have a look around. Another customer who was also there and witnessed the rude exchange found me in one of the aisle and said how rude that man was and not very helpful and introduced us to Peter who was in the same aisle as we were and she told him what happened. And im so glad we had Peter's help in looking for what we needed as we would never of known that not only did we need the mesh net but also the other things we needed for the pool as well. He was so very helpful and very patience with us as we asked our questions. I just wished thst some of your workers were more like Peter. Thanks Peter for your help and we look forward to coming back to see you if ever we need help.
