Took my anxious little Jack Russell there for his nail trim and bath. The girls there were very understanding and caring towards my boy even after he was trying to nip them. He’s definitely not the easiest especially when it comes to nail cuts. Thank you! Im hoping in time he will get used to you lovely people. I Will definitely be back.
Always brilliant service received when dealing with Petbarn. The guys at my local store Burpengary/Morayfield will always greet you with a smile and happily help in loading your car with a trolley full of cat food and cat litter. Nothing is ever too much of an ask

Staff are usually friendly when I had been here prior which has added an extra star. But today when my son and I visited the store for pet food, we were very disappointed with the lack of available stock, and that the stock that was available had been opened with noticeable freezer burn on the product and frosting occuring on the packaging which showed this had not be checked for some time. No staff available at the time so left and went to Morayfield Pet Stock instead.
So very disappointed with the grooming the last handful of times I've been here, but the last time in particular was the worst by far. Normally I will wash and clip my dog myself but when I am time poor we go to either PetBarn, PetStock or a mobile groomer. Firstly I was charged an extra $10, after paying for it I asked what for and was told it was for skin-sensitive shampoo and because the dog was on the cusp of the weight range, even though she weighs well under 10kg. None of this was communicated to me beforehand, just added silently to the bill, nor did I ask for such shampoo. Secondly, when the dog comes out the hair is still too long. I ask for as short as possible and any other store or groomer including myself is able to do this, however whenever we come out of this store it is still too long and literally 2-3 weeks later it needs doing again. Cutting the hair as short as possible is vital to the management of her skin conditions, which I mention each time. Thirdly, when I put her in the car I checked her ears and found they were still dirty, smelly and hairy... if the ears were cleaned at all then it was barely done. Fourthly, on the way home I can still smell her, so the shampoo used I dont think is even worth it. When I got home I ended up cleaning and clipping her ears myself and plenty of wax and gunk came out straight away. I then proceeded to fully wash her to get her smelling and feeling the way she should. The whole reason I pay for a groomer to do this job is because I am short on time, but after the time spent driving to the store to drop off, pick up, clip and clean the ears and wash her at home, it would have been quicker and better to just do the job myself and not waste $89. On top of that the staff gives me advice on her skin conditions etc which is nice however they don't know the dog's history and they are not professional vets. The skin-sensitive shampoo was not necessary, and if they asked me first I could have told them so and not paid for it. The staff were lovely of course, and they even filed the dog's nails so that she wouldn't rip herself so much when scratching which is greatly appreciated, but again if they communicated this first I could have told them she barely scratches herself, that's not the issue, instead they could have focused on the ears and short clipping as requested. All-in-all, too many below average experiences at this salon for our little, easily-manageable dog, so unfortunately wont be coming back to this salon.
I only go for fish but they have a decent selection and they all look healthy. Staff are friendly and excited to help you out
