Super cosy, Italian restaurants run by italians. Food was hearty and in big portions. Only one baby chair as mentioned by another reviewer. Enough space for about 20 diners so may be crowded at times. Prices were very reasonable. Food was great - the minestrone was really excellent!!
Legit carbonara that's creamy without using cream. The bacon was alittle too salty for me but the sauce and pasta was the star. Can't wait to try their ragu dishes! Coffee served was great too. Good service from the friendly ladies as well. *2nd Visit* Tried their beef ragu on a return trip. Excellent fettucine +$3 extra which was more than worth it. Beef was minced rather than shredded but that's fine. The lady staff manning the counter recognized me for this review for some reason and that gave a very homely feel to this place, its much appreciated. Her service is top notch! Carbonara will still be my favorite here.
Kids friendly they have one highchair, and an awesome serving of kids pasta Just shed a tear eating some beautiful pasta at Parlapa, tasted like my Nonna's in Italy Simple, affordable, quick&friendly service, and DELICIOUS, this place deserves more credit! The kids pasta was huge and the adults loved finishing it too.The ravioli were the best I had outside Italy. Cheap coffee too. Check it out when you're in Freo!
Beautiful family restaurant with the best gnocci. We had the Gorgonzola walnut and the slow cooked beef, both delicious. Thank you
Had the minestrone soup with pulled beef and it was delicious! Came with some bread to dip in and it was just perfect! The prices are so affordable for the size and the quality is superb! Home made and fresh! If you’re in Freo come here you won’t regret it!
Absolutely amazing!! Best fresh pasta i had so far in fremantle. I definitely recommend this beautiful place, great service and lovely people
Parlapa means 'Speak' in English restaurant started 8 years ago. They serve authentic northern Italian food. Ms Ada recommended spaghetti carbonara. It was delicious. The spaghetti was imported from Italy. The thick spaghetti came with crispy and soft bacon, creamless carbonara sauce and good cheese. The tasty Piccola was brewed from Karvan's arabica beans. Coffees here are priced at around $3.90. Gnocchi, ravioli and lasagna are all handmade. The staff here were very friendly and made me feel at home. Nice and clean restaurant. Cheers! 2021-11
I finished work at Freo yesterday, for forever, and closed my chapter there with a truly decadent indulgence from Parlapa that had the tastebuds singing - they're still in the midst of rhapsodic libretto the day after. A takeaway container coz I still had things to wrap up at the work desk of gnocchi in a creamy grana padano sauce. Well my goodness, if only I'd indulged sooner, this would've been a regular feature and excitement of my working life at Freo. - but maybe good for the waistline that I hadn't. Small, feather-light pillows, like ethereal clouds, bathed in a rich creamy velvet sauce - sheer and utter decadence .... just purely delicious. Parlapa is a lovely little venue, understated, no pretensions whatsoever, with the nicest and friendliest folk behind the counter and, obviously, as revealed by yesterday's lunch a taste-genius in the kitchen working his magic at the stove. They also serve one of the best cups of coffee in Freo imo - it's been my regular go to morning coffee spot when at work in Freo for the past few years. Yesterday's lunch gives me very good reason to venture back to Freo in my now abundant spare time - I'm keen to explore all the other potential taste delights of their menu.
Top place, great coffee, awesome eggs for breakfast and homemade pasta!
We like to come here for simple 'home-cooked' Italian food. Very popular and we have seen quite a number of diners turned away due to limited seating capacity.
