GREAT LEADER WITH FANTASTIC STAFF AT PAKNSAVE BOTANYnnFrom my recent shopping experience at PaknSave Botany, my observation is as follows:nn1. Staff are diligent, conscientious and helpful to customers. Luke is a very young but motivated and proactive. He always stacks fresh vegetables and mushrooms in a nice and tidy way patiently and offers help to customers whenever there is need. He also does cleaning the floor etc.nn2. Ladies at fresh seafood section are all well-organised and happy to serve customers. They are a very happy team.nn3. Ladies and gentlemen stacking up meat section are all efficient and friendly.nn4. My pleasure to meet the store manager Callum who is always visual and down-to-earth and checks stock in every aisle with his team. He is a passionate and dedicated to his job. He has been working there for more than 20 years at Botany branch. He is definitely a valuable asset to PaknSave!nn5. Cashiers are efficient and helpful.nnAll in all, my shopping experience at PaknSave Botany is very enjoyable and comfortable. I highly recommend you to shop there if you live near Botany Downs.
Typical Pak’nSave with a great range of products and low prices. A nice bonus is the coffee shop by the checkout, something I haven’t seen at any other Pak’nSave in NZ.
Pak’nSave Botany is one of those stores that gets the basics right without trying to impress you with anything fancy. It’s a solid choice if you’re looking to save money on a big grocery shop, and it generally feels a bit more organised than some of the other older Pak’nSave branches.nnThe store is spacious and fairly tidy, with a good layout that makes it easy enough to find what you need. It still has that classic no-frills Pak’nSave vibe — everything’s pretty plain, and you won’t find any flashy displays or gourmet sections — but the aisles are wide, the lighting is decent, and there’s usually enough stock on the shelves.nnPricing is what you’d expect — some of the best in the area. Weekly specials can really help stretch your budget, especially if you’re buying in bulk or stocking up on staples. The produce section is hit or miss. Some days the fruit and veg look fresh and well-stocked, other days it feels like you’re picking through what’s left. The meat section offers good value for money, though like most Pak’nSaves, it pays to check the packaging and use-by dates. The bakery is basic but reliable, with a decent range of breads, rolls, and sweet stuff.nnStaff are generally helpful if approached, but don’t expect anyone to come up to you first. It’s a bit of a DIY atmosphere, which is pretty standard across most Pak’nSaves. Checkout times vary depending on when you go — during the day it’s not too bad, but evenings and weekends can get a bit hectic. Self-checkouts are available, which helps speed things up if you’ve only got a small shop.nnParking is actually one of the better features. The carpark is large and easy to access, and you usually won’t have to fight too hard for a spot. Being close to Botany Town Centre means it can get busy, but it’s still manageable.nnJust like other branches, one thing to watch for is the gap between what’s shown online and what’s actually in store. If you’re coming in for something specific you saw on their website, there’s always a chance it might not be available.nnAll up, Pak’nSave Botany is a reliable spot if your main goal is to save money. It’s not a place to wander around and browse for fun, but if you know what you need and want to get in and out with your wallet intact, it does the job well.
' why didn't you tell me early ' !! this was the rude response from the lotto counter staff. When I told her the $20 lotto ticket was meant to be for Saturday instead of Wednesday. I told her that no problem and gladly accept the Wednesday ticket. Then ' Black face' and refused to inform me that she could actually cancel and reprint a Saturday ticket for me .until I ask for her name then she told me she could reprint a new ticket for Saturday.nThe duty manager was informed about the issue.nUnhappy customer.
This Pak'n'Save has gone downhill so much that, after 6 years of shopping there, I have now switched to the new Pak'n'Save in Highland Park, which is excellent. Reasons include: even during quieter times, there are never any small trolleys available, only large ones. Not good when you have a back injury and can't bend. Customer service doesn't reply to emails. NZ salmon no longer available as a skin on/bone in fillet, only deboned at $80/kg or as a steak. I'd rather debone at home than paying an extra $22/kg just to have them do it for me. Store is cramped, so even at non-peak time, it can be hard to get through the aisles. Leaving my trolley unattended while weaving through the masses to get my groceries led to cloth shopping bags being stolen from my trolley.
