Where do I start……? My first camper experience and boy am I glad I chose these guys. I dealt with Maryann, Debs, & John and right from the start these guys have been welcoming, informative and fun. I got the 2 + 1 Mercedes camper & I was given a full run down of its workings and where I could find any information on the van or it’s technical contents when I was on the road. I thought the hire was long enough until it came to an end and just wished for it to continue. The camper was awesome and I would say I didn’t even utilize it to its full potential. Any single or couple would be more than content in this little palace on wheels! I would not HESITATE in recommending the team at Pacific Horizon, they are truly awesome to deal with and you will get a quality product backed with good professional support. Happy Travels
As a family of 3 it was our first time using a motorhome/campervan... We absolutely loved it! Needless to say we are hooked! The van was spotless and in full working order. We had a 6 berth option for the 3 of us which gave us extra seating/ eating options. The two front seats are especially comfortable and spacious which made the driving enjoyable. Staff were awesome! An amazing experience overall, thank you Pacific Horizons we will be back!
I can’t recommend this agent for rental a motorhome enough! All information what you need, it’s at your disposition online or calling them. With my partner rented Gem-4 for 2 and was more than we expected at all. Full equipped, everything you need, it’s inside. Super easy to drive, no worries, after some km you will feel more confident driving. New Zealand is totally motorhome friendly. Also, they have very good prices!
We hired a Pacific Horizon motorhome and we were picked up by Eddie at Auckland airport for a 7.5 week tour of both the North and South Islands. The handover session was smooth and Eddie was very cheerful, informative and friendly. During the course of this holiday we were very impressed with the professionalism, politeness, consideration and efficiency of Eddie, Maryann, John and Debs. Nothing was too much trouble and we were treated with courtesy and respect every time we called. If we let things go for a day or two after a query, Maryann would follow up with a genuine courtesy call. Unlike other large, multi-national, money making companies this is a comparatively small, professional family-run business concentrating purely on the comfort and satisfaction of their customers. Their whole focus is on providing genuine old fashioned one-on-one service. Par excellence! It is unusual in this day and age to receive treatment like this and that is a credit to all management and staff involved. Hats off to John the pioneer! The motorhomes are thoughtfully equipped, modern, comfortable and totally suited to touring NZ. Diesel heating backed up by electric and solar panels ensure comfort while freedom camping and full Wifi can be provided on selected models. We were so impressed that on our return to Wellington, heading to Auckland for our return flight, we made a point of dropping into the PH office to meet Maryann. We found her to be warm, charming and sincere – confirming the impression we had from our phone conversations. We would not hesitate to recommend Pacific Horizon Motorhomes to anyone planning a trip to NZ. We score them 11/10. Thank you, Pacific Horizon Motorhomes! We will return!
We just came back from our month touring around New Zealand in a Pacific Horizon campervan and we had the time of our life. The campervan was modern, confortable and spacious. At the end of our trip, when we gave the keys back, we really felt like we were leaving our home. The Pacific Horizon staff was always very kind, helpful, quick to respond to our questions, patient and there was no surprise cost at the end of our trip. We highly recommend to book one of their campervans, we know we will next time we come to New Zealand.
We hired a 2+1 van for two weeks. We picked it up in Auckland and traveled Northland and the Far North and then dropped it off in Wellington depot in Plimmerton actually. It was the BEST! Very modern and easy to drive vans. Very clean and tidy and well thought out. The satellite tv was a huge bonus as we were able to watch the America's Cup. Service from Maryann was professional, fast, accommodating & friendly. We loved it so much, we already want to hire another bigger camper van from them again. This is a family owned local business. Highly recommend to anyone considering a road trip!!
This is the 3rd hire we have done with Pacific Horizon and will NOT be the last. They are accommodating, respond quickly and accurately and VERY reasonable in regards to arranging the finer details of a hire late return, early pick up, things like that.... I 100% recommend PH!
The team at Pacific Horizon have been extremely helpful as our original trip from the UK two years ago was cancelled, last minute. Everything was straightforward picking up the vehicle and felt confident as this was the first Motorhome we have hired. Thanks again to the team.
Our first time in a Motorhome... highly recommend as a way to travel around the motu. Pacific Horizons were super helpful and answered our questions in a timely fashion when we needed their assistance on the road.
We hired a six berth, and even convinced our cousins to hire one too. We travelled after lockdown last year in June. Communication and questions were answered promptly. Our vehicle was clean and walk through was good as we were first timers. We absolutely loved it and will definitely hire from Pacific again
