Oz Wagtails cut my dogs tongue with scissors!!!!! Do not get your dog groomed here!!!!!! They did not call to advise me that this had happened whilst grooming my Maltese. However, they called for me to pick up my 2 dogs, pay for their cut and washes and only as I was walking out the door is when they decided to tell me about the 'small incident' that happened. Apparently my dog was refusing to be held in the 'mussel area' when having his snout area trimmed and that is when he 'licked the scissors'. I got the dogs home and inspected my dogs tongue to find that it was about 7-10mm cut on the side of his tongue and was bleeding. After seeking advice from my vet, we took him straight over to the vet to have it looked at. He was then given antibiotics and also pain killers. The vet even advised us that this was 'dodgy on the groomers behalf' and that the groomer should be paying for the vet bill. After having to chase the owner Tabatha Young, she was very defensive, aggressive and completely unapologetic! Made us feel as though this was our dogs fault as he 'licked the scissors' and she even said that we were 'overacting' and she wouldn't of taken her dog to the vet. How is my dog suppose to tell me if he needs pain relief???? Tabatha stated that there was a Vet nurse on duty and did the cut for Otto. I asked Tabatha why the Vet Nurse did not come out and explain what happened when I picked up the dogs. Tabatha stated that it was not a life threatening situation and they felt that they only needed to let us know as a duty of care. After a lot of back and forth and aggressiveness from Tabatha, we decided to let her keep the money for the groom and not ask to be compensated, as that is all she seemed to care about was the money. Instead I have decided to let everyone know what horrible and unprofessional service we have received from Oz Wagtails and mostly Tabatha Young, the business owner. It is absolutely appalling how it was handled and I would not wish it to happen to anyone else!

Fantastic groomers and the awesomest group of ladies who love their daycare dogs and boarding dogs. Rupert loves going to daycare there. And they are helpful with all dog related questions.

I had my mate stay here for a long weekend. Wagtails looked after him well beyond my expectations. I would highly recommend this service.

Can't recommend this place enough for dog training! They have a lovely indoor facility and great training aids. The trainers are knowledgeable in all aspects of dog behavior and helped us achieve fantastic results with our two dogs!

Putting my dog, Joshua, in day care was the best decision for him. Finding one that I trusted Joshua with where he would be allowed to get social interaction without being hurt was a high priority for me and seeing the way OZ Wagtails run I knew it was the best place for him. The cost is reasonable given the benefits that I see for Joshua. When he gets home he is always so tuckered out he just goes to bed, which gives me a quiet night too! I would, and have, recommend OZ Wagtails to everyone.
