I’ve just come home from Osborne park Hospital after a knee reconstruction. As I’d never had major surgery before I was very nervous. I could not have had better care! Every staff member was so professional compassionate, completely on the ball. I feel so lucky to have had the attention they gave me. The nurses deserve all the praise necessary plus the bonus they ask for. You need dedication and passion to do this job, they had it to the nth degree. Huge respect and thanks to all. Legends!!!!
It’s been 3 months since I gave birth to my beautiful firstborn son at Osborne park hospital. I am so grateful I was able to experience childbirth at this amazing hospital. They have the most professional, kind and nurturing team of midwives and I could not thank them enough for all the support and care I received during my stay. Sara and Katya who delivered my baby treated me so kindly and with so much respect, making me feel at ease and encouraged al the time. Chris and other lovely midwives equipped me with knowledge to look after the newborn in the 3 days I was there, without which I’d have been absolutely lost after coming home. Even after I came home I received continuous assistance and care from Angela the lactation consultant. With her support, breastfeeding has been such a beautiful experience with little stress. Thank you so much Osborne Park Hospital.. I will forever be thankful.
I recently underwent a hernia repair at Osborne Park Hospital. The staff were wonderful, making me feel welcome and comfortable and were very patient with me. Meals and drinks were tasty and on time. All nursing staff were just wonderful, smiling, and putting up with my little foibles… My experience was more like a small holiday break than a surgical procedure. Thanks to surgeons Richard and Amelie and all staff from reception until discharge. Martin
I can't believe i didn't know about this hospital. I can not fault it, and the whole experience has been phenomenal. From the amazing lady at reception, to every incredible nurse who helped me, to the outstanding surgeon. I am just blown away by all of their care, kindness, honesty and support. If i can, i will make sure i only ever have to come here. Thank you all so very much. I am so very blessed to have had you all take such wonderful care of me and can not thank you enough
I like to extend my deepest appreciation to the professionalism, efficency and loving service provided by the nurses of the hospital. I had my colonoscopy yesterday and was amazed by level of care and concern of the nurses in the day procedure unit. Right from the admission until I was discharged I was made comfortable and given the best care and attention. Special thanks to Sue for taking care of me.
We called the midwife at 11 pm at night because of having some abnormal bleeding in third trimester, she told us to come to the hospital we went to the hospital and got check up. They did all the checks even at 12 am midnight, both the doctor and midwife are amazing now we feel that we are in safe hands.
I have gone through two pregnancies at the Osborne Park Hospital. If you have a choice of hospital I would encourage you to look around. If you are wanting a natural birth I would look into the birthing centres available. If you are in the catchment area for this hospital then ask to be placed on the midwife team. The team consists of 5 midwives so although you won’t have the same person every time there is some opportunity for consistency. If you’re not on the midwife team you will see whoever is available. In regards to supporting your birth plan and natural labour and hypnobirthing the midwife team were really supportive and accommodating. I unfortunately had to have an emergency C-section in the end but felt like all avenues had been exhausted by then with my requests being held. My second pregnancy has required a C-section and I feel like this has had an impact on how I have been supported/managed during my appointments. As this is a public hospital times have been changed for my C-section, I was not able to know who would be working in regards to the midwives or doctors. It has felt disorganized and unsupportive for me the patient. even when raising concern and requests. I think it comes back to being a public hospital. They are doing the best with the restrictions the hospital has in place
Have to say the care that I received at OPH was excellent on B ward. Nurse Lenka was very reassuring pre surgery, post surgery all of the other nurses on shift were all equally caring. Food was pretty good as well with the meals on wheels ladies remembering my choice of tea every time. I have a new found appreciation for nurses now.
This was my first birthing experience. The midwifery team at OPH were exceptional. In particular, Sally midwife was so caring, respectful and was always willing to listen to my questions and concerns. She came to see me and my son during the final day in the hospital. The experience and quality of care I received in throughout the stay at OPH was fantastic. Although it was slightly traumatic and overwhelming experience due to unforeseen complications but In the end, both my son and I did so well. I would like to thank everyone who was involved in the process.
I came in for a colonoscopy & an endoscopy, I was so anxious but immediately I felt so looked after & cared for by nurse Michelle I think her name was. She was so kind & talked me through everything. Dr Cheng who did my procedure & all of the other nurses were also so kind & smiley. It really made the whole thing such a positive experience. Thank you so much
