Well maintained public park adjacent to the Esplanade, it was ideal for getting the kite up. Plenty of parking on Park Road and trees around the edges.

Ongley Park is the centre of activity in Palmerston North. Something for everyone, there is always a game of football, rugby, cricket to be had!   It is within walking distance of the riverfront trail and esplanade activities.  It is a great spot for the family to burn some energy or walk the dog.

Great green space. Well groomed field for Hockey.

The grounds are kept to very high standards, the new road layout and entry off Park road is great and now have more car parking

Esplanade Cafe, Palmerston North was  very good. Nice food. Orchid house and rose garden great viewing and free! Parking pretty good on weekday.

Great park for a touch tournament

Cherry blossoms at the park are amazing in spring. This was at the the esplande and the park just happens to be at the start of the esplande. I never visited the park itself but it is good for cricket and has many fields so it's one massive grass field
