What a beautiful beach for a walk
Beautiful beach, the biggest of the island. There is a small village in front of the beach to eat some breakfast in the morning, in the afternoon and the night you have more pubs and cafes that make lunches and dinners. The view is gorgeous. Highly recommended if you are in the island
Must be one of New Zealand's best beaches, sandy, generally very safe with seldom any undertows or rips, occassionly northerly winds can whip up the waves but if swimmers and beaches goers stay aware this would have to be one of the safest beaches as well. Beautiful walk from one end to the other, some really nice stones scattered around. Three very good restaurants plus a first class ice cream shop, so if staying close by or just visiting for the day you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner in the same location, with an ice cream and or coffee etc. in between, perfect.
Truly beautiful beach. Isn't any less than a tropical location. My only gripe is that during summer this place explodes. Theres no place to walk let alone find parking or a spot on the beach. The couple of eateries that are here get really backed up so it's a good idea to take your own food and snacks.
Beautiful dog friendly beach for a relaxing walk
Rather to stay in this beach on the island because they actually have bathrooms with a shower to rinse out the sand. Have an amazing afternoon and there is a lot of restaurant just going up street, but also theres some BBQ around here
Beautiful long stretch of white sandy beach, ideal for walks with some trees lining the beach for shade. Limited bathing suitability due to long run up to the water.
