Dr. Chan is one of the few doctors I've seen that has taken the time to do a thorough initial assessment and follow up promptly about the issues we discussed. I have never waited more than five minutes to see him for an appointment and reception is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
I can confidently say One Point Medical has changed my life for the better. I am eternally grateful for the support provided in adult ADHD management by Dr Joel Chan - one of the most knowledgable, dedicated and genuine GP's I have ever encountered. The ADHD assessment process was warm, thorough and ethical. It is incredibly comforting to know your health professionals consistently have your best interests at heart and to feel in safe hands.
I’ve been coming to one point medical for almost 7 years and can not count a fault. The staff are always helpful and without a doubt, you’ll always leave the clinic feeling less stressed. Dr.Mulroney is amazing and can not recommend him enough. My mother use to see him at the clinic before I for many years and which then she recommended me and I have not gone anywhere else since. You’ll truly feel at home here.
The doctors are extremely knowledgeable and professional. My husband and I have been going to these doctors for over 30 years and have always had expert advice. They are totally on top of every aspect of our health, making sure we have thorough checkups when required. They try to make sure we are not kept waiting before appointments and admin staff send a notification if the doctor is behind time. This only occurs because a patient has required more time. They are also knowledgeable about the best specialists if we need to be referred to one. We have always received personal care and highly recommend the doctors at One Point Medical. I am writing this review because I think that anything below a five star review is unfair judgement and underestimates the expertise and service of this practice.
Today, I accompanied my wife to the doctor as per usual since her stroke in 2019 and we had the pleasure to meet the young doctor Hazem Nagla. Even if not quite well, the doctor gave us a full consultation. He was calm, supportive and sympathetic towards my wife who has a complicated and unusual allergy. His encouraging remarks and footnotes as the consultation went by made us realise how the kind doctor found strength to overcome his own sickness and devote his care and concern to his patients. Also, at the end of the consultation he come to the same concerns and conclusions as our relative's doctors in Europe. I have never left a doctor's room with so much lightness in my heart and having the feeling that the person I love is in very good hands. I would like to extend best wishes to Hazem Nagla and his family and many thanks to One Point Medical and its dedicated staff.
I came to one point because it lauded itself as an ADHD specialist clinic. My appt with Joel Chan was fine and I found him amicable and knowledgeable about ADHD. I was not aware however he was just a GP and so I would still need to go see a psychiatrist before being able to prescribed any meds. The psychos suggested to me by Joel were expensive and had a long waitlist so I sought out my own. From there I was certified as having ADHD and was trying to go back to Joel for re ups of medication however was DENIED TREATMENT because of an incredibly rude receptionist who interpreted my questions and tone as rude and flagrantly hung up on me. I was very upset by this as I am autistic and was not trying to be aggressive or rude and I have been trying so hard to get stable medication and to be denied treatment on the basis of apparently seeing a psych that was not recommended by Joel. This was NEVER made apparent to me. Joel said it was fine. This receptionist by the name of Tahlia was completely incompetent and considering they call themselves an ADHD clinic their receptionists should really have much better communicative skills as they would receive many autistic people at this clinic i am sure. It's lucky i had good support around me otherwise this withholding of services would have been a serious blow to my mental health and well being. BE AWARE!!!
I couldn't recommend OnePoint Medical highly enough. Reception staff have always been so helpful and efficient. Dr. Chan has been the most informed and proactive GP that I've had the support of. My experience with OnePoint has been life changing, and I consider myself very fortunate to be a client of this practice.
Doctor was Okay but receptionists/front desk though being nice, were either incompetent or maybe stressed out. Not sure whether it was my luck though or other people had similar experiences. They booked me with wrong Dr., then it took them 10 days to send my referral to the specialist and I had to call a couple of times to followup and then they made some error in the claim to medicare, booked me again with a wrong Dr. for the followup and I found that out one day before the apt. when I received the confirmation sms. Am happy with the Dr. and will continue going there though.
I cannot recommend this medical center highly enough. I would not be here writing this if not for the help I have received over the years from the staff here. If you are looking for a GP who will have your back and walk with you through your ups and downs then look no further. No matter what has been going on in my life, any time I walk out of this place I have renewed strength to keep going on. You will not be rushed, you will be listened too, you will be included and you will be supported. Special thanks to Dr Chris Mulroney and Dr Joel Chan - Such great doctors. Also thank you to Kitty for your great work at reception. Do yourself a favor if you are looking for a general practitioner, make an appointment here.
Dr Mulroney & Dr Chan are two of the most kindhearted and professional individuals, both are crucial members of the One Point team. My partner, myself & our new baby daughter are not locals and travel quite a long time to come to these Drs. We could not reccomend more highly.
