I have had the privilege of enjoying an Omaka Lodge experience and cannot speak more highly of the Lodge, its accommodation and facilities, the excellent meals and the amazing and beautiful rural garden setting, all of which put the experience in the absolute “top bracket” as far as I am concerned. Everything offered is of a high standard with meticulous attention to detail and quality. Above all is the brilliant friendly customer service provided by Scott and Chris in anticipating your wishes and needs for your comfort and enjoyment. A fantastic, beautiful place to stay or hold an event – top marks all around.

Omaka Lodge is one of those hidden gems where the combination of attention to detail and stunning scenery leave you absolutely breathless. Only 5mins out of Taumaranui but beautifully remote to get away from it all with the most amazing gardens to restore your energy. The lodge oozes quality at every turn and the friendly hosts, Scott & Chris offer exemplary service and make you immediately feel at home. We have travelled the world and it isn't often one comes away from a stay with such a longing to return back as soon as possible. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay long enough. Omaka Lodge is definitely a cut above. The best accomodation in Taumarunui without a doubt. If you want a taste of luxury with the most amazing gardens this is the place to stay. Chris and Scott are fantastic hosts, friendly without being intrusive. The standout is the room ( very comfy, a great nights sleep) & the gardens. Chris & Scott have carried on the great work of Ken & Gaye Street and have exciting development ideas. I stayed on business which was a mistake as the comfy surrounds didnt drive me to finish off reports! Also just out of Taumarunui means that your pizza is still hot as you eat it in the courtyard. And yes the cat is as big as a horse but you have to make friends with Millie the Spaniel. Will definitely stay again when i am next down. Thanks Chris and Scott. .

Great place to stay and relax. The food is amazing, the hosts are even better. Just planning for another stay there.
