Appalling customer servicennI had an unacceptable experience at the West Burleigh Officeworks. I asked a simple question about submitting my child’s back to school book list and was dismissed by two staff members, both of whom told me it “wasn’t their job” or to “go online,” with zero attempt to assist.nnA third staff member, who appeared to be a manager, approached with a clear attitude, told me to “follow the instructions online, we don’t do it,” and then stormed off without offering help, clarification, or even basic courtesy.nnThis behaviour was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Customers should not be made to feel like an inconvenience for asking a basic question. The lack of accountability and leadership was obvious.nnI will not be returning to this store and strongly suggest management review staff training and customer service standards
This was, without question, the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. During my visit, I counted around 11 staff members wandering around the store, none of whom acknowledged me or any other customers. I watched two other customers walk all the way to the front counter just to ask for help because no one approached them.nnMeanwhile, I was standing at the Click & Collect area for 20mins trying to find out why my order wasn’t being brought out, and not a single staff member offered assistance. No eye contact, no “I’ll be right with you,” nothing.
I purchased a 50' Sony Bravia 18months ago from Officeworks. On 1 December 2025 I took it to Burleigh West as it was turning on but the screen was black. The staff entered it into the system and did not hear from them. On checking on their service app two weeks later, the TV was still at Burleigh West. I finally spoke to a person who advised me that the repairer had not collected it. I had asked him to follow it up. However, on checking the service app, it was always in 'transit'. Burleigh Heads West's telephone does not get answered and has limited choices. So, when the lady says 'for all enquiries' press '4', I selected. I am then told to contact the number that I have already rung. Talk about going around in circles.nnSubsequently, I wrote to Retail Officeworks Queries where a lovely lady, Rachel, forwarded my email to Burleigh West. The TV arrived at the repairer 16 November and today I received a text message to say that it has been returned, please collect or contact Burleigh West for further details!! The repairer or Burleigh West did not detail what was done to it or, if indeed, if the problem had been fixed. Very, very poor customer service!!!
Really horrible customer service. Drove 1 hour to come here to print photos. Came in at 2pm to print photos. The machines weren’t working and they said they couldn’t help me. After 1.5 hours I finally managed to get it working and they said it’s no worries they will take 1 hour to print. 1 hour later they call me saying sorry it won’t be ready today. So I said to refund me. Very bad and massive waste of time.
I visited the store recently to purchase a printer and asked if someone knowledgeable could assist me. I was directed to a young staff member who, unfortunately, wasn’t able to answer any of my questions. It was quite disappointing, as I made eye contact with several other staff members, none of whom seemed interested in offering help. Overall, the customer service experience was poor and left me quite frustrated.
