The food was horrible, considering it’s right next to the ocean and a high tourist area. The chips and nuggets were like they came out of a packet from the supermarket, the potato scallops were so oily and we couldn’t eat them! A waste of money!

We popped in at 5:30 on a winter school holiday Wednesday. We had walked on the beach and the sun had gone down and we didn’t want to come out again. Don’t judge us. There was no-one there. We ordered some barramundi, chips and a double wagyu burger. The total came to a surprisingly low amount.nnThe staff were very friendly and nothing was a problem. We nicked down the bottle shop, because takeaway without some beverages is like Canberra without deception.nnThe food arrived soon after our return. I was surprised by the weight of the bag.nnMy wagyu burger was large, but it held together well. The patties ACTUALLY TASTED LIKE BEEF!!! Crazy, right? It was well balanced and I enjoyed it immensely.nnThe barramundi was firm and tasty and the chips with chicken salt were crispy, hot and delicious. We couldn’t get through the fish and chips, nestling them in the fridge for a snack another time.nnThe offerings on the board were traditional fare, with some cunning twists. Don’t say that 10 times fast.nnThis was an old style fish and chips shop, with some clever elaborations. Well worth a stop.

I popped into this fish and chip shop recently and felt I just had to leave a review. The food was absolutely spot on, proper crispy batter, lovely fresh fish, and chips just how they should be.nnWhat really made the visit though was the young girl serving with the beautiful curly hair. She was so polite, cheerful, and helpful, with a lovely manner that instantly puts you at ease. It’s so nice to see young people who clearly work hard and take pride in their job – she was a real credit to the place.nnI’ll definitely be coming back again and recommending it to friends and family. Keep up the good work – it’s refreshing to see such great service these days.

The food was mostly well cooked.  The hot chips were excellent!nOrdered the Calamari pack.  Expecting Calamari rings but instead we had salt and pepper squid.  These too were cooked very well but the distinction between the two was not clear.  I would still eat them again though,  yummy. To us,  Calamari is round, Squid is short and fat. I may be wrong but that is how it has always been distinguished for us.nPotato scallops,  they were nice but really oily compared to the other two dishes.nI would still go back and get the Squid and chip pack again though.nnDo yourself a favour and give them a try.

Amazing place, really good prices cheap, really big burgers, Chris and Hinata are always so lovely and are incredibly fast at making your food
