The Oamaru steam and Rail mechanics are very experience people and they have done good job in maintaining all the classic trains in its glorious condition. Visitors to Oamaru would have the opportunity to experience a very vintage feeling of classic train ride to the Penguin colony at the harbor nearby. You will treasure a priceless experience.

We had a great time riding the rails.

Great to see people keeping these trains on track. The ride was a bit short, but the penguin at the end made it good again. For children a must do.
