Very clean pint of Guinness - just lacking a bit of a bigger head. Great pub, will be back.
Gnochhi for mains was tasteless and mushy. The duck was beautifully presented but unfortunately was bland. There was ABSOLUTELY NO SEASONING used for both meals when cooking. There is something called 'SALT', please consider using it as it will go a long way in adding flavour to the not so cheap meals you serve to your customers in the fine dining section of your pub. NO! We did not enjoy our meal.
Food was good, service very poor. Not sure we got all of our wine, why do they take it away? Expensive for what it is, pub food!
We went for dinner a couple of nights ago, after not having been for a good few years and it was disappointing. Our entrees were so-so, squid and croquettes, but my main gnocchi was really disappointingly tasteless ad stodgy. I kept waiting for flavour to kick in but that didn't come. My partner was happy enough with his veal but I really didn't enjoy mine at all. The side order of pumpkin was good though, tasty and worth ordering. The dessert we shared peanut-butter parfait was pointless again with no real flavour and it just didn't come together in the glass it came in. Coffee however was quite good.
O’Connell’s you did it again! Awesome night had by all. There were 8 of us having a business dinner. A real mixed bag including 2 American colleagues. Our eyes may have been bigger than our bellies but the Lamb Shoulder to share melted in your mouth. The food was superb thanks chef. Paul and Pauly, thanks for looking after us so well. A top performer every time. I’ll be back soon.
