I came here at the time their stall just opened. Looking at how pretty the bakeries are displayed made me just want to buy them all. They all looked fluffy and wonderful. The staff was great and so knowledgeable about each item they sell. I tried their coffee and it was great.
3.5* overall - donuts are 3 for $12 as of July '22 The cruller is good if you don't have a big sweet tooth it doesn't have any of the advertised cinnamon taste to it though unfortunately. Nutella one was nice and light and partner enjoyed the custard/caramel filling in the golden gaytime. Don't bother following the queuing system as the staff just take orders randomly even if you were there queuing first.
Went to this place for the first time. Ordered 4 donuts, 1 custard, 1 jam, 1 berry and 1 lemon meringue. Was most looking forward to a classic jam donut. The jam donut was devoid of any jam whatsoever. Can't get more disappointing than that, especially with their prices. Custard donut tasted fine. Appearance was similar to the jam donut, thin, squashed and like a deflated balloon. Both the Berry and Lemon Meringue looked nice and tasted ok. The donuts were all a bit dry, maybe not fresh?
The photo speaks for itself, you can have the best product in the world but it means nothing if you treat your customers like this.
Bought donuts from their stall at South Melbourne Market. Really delicious but staff had no clue about allergens/ingredients in their donuts. We were told the vegan donuts come from an external supplier so they have ‘no idea’ what milk alternative they use.
Woah! I was in heaven. The donuts are to die for. Large. Fresh. Tasty. And then the ‘honey joy’ that was bigger then my fist. Phew! So many great things here. Coffee was okay according to my friend. I’m now a tea girl. Centrally located within the South Melbourne Market. Staff are nice and friendly. Wheelchair accessible and kid friendly. Dine in or take away.
Cupcakes and donuts were too dense.. will try their other baked goods next time.
Tucked away under the stairs at South Melbourne market. I regularly buy take away from La Laptop, some of their very nice Danish and baguettes for lunch. They also have a range of very tempting doughnuts and other treats. Well worth the visi.
I asked if the jam donuts have cream in them, they said yes. Well, the jam donuts DON’T have cream. They lied. Overpriced donuts and false advertising. Disappointing.
Good coffee and the staff are nice. Variety of doughnuts and sweets to go with your coffee.
