Would be five stars easily with great water sports and lovely surrounds. But ruined by two points... 1. Cafe takeaway prices have gone through the roof $24 for a burger!? Take your own food. 2. Next to no shade. In Queensland it's damn near criminal the lack of shade at the place. We ended up with kids sharing the smokers tables as there was nothing by 8am. Not smokers fault, just woeful shade. Whilst we love the place and have been a few times now I seriously doubt we'll go back. Note the separate aqua Park business has plenty of shade but that's not the Novatel, and you don't get kayaks and catamarans with them.

We had the water view room and was very comfortable. The service was fantastic all round and we enjoyed the dining. Breakfast was fantastic and the Friday night seafood buffet was awesome!! Bugs, prawns, oysters, and a few types of fish, just perfect. Aqua fun is just on the other side of the lake and was great fun too. There was a cocktail party outside our room on Saturday night and it did get a bit noisy but we were all so tired from a full day that we all fell asleep like babies!

Great location and facilities for a short stay. Though the staff could make you feel a bit more welcoming.Asking for a request at reception was not easy. We Experienced torrential rain , and called reception for umbrellas since there wasn’t any in the room.We were told they were for hire, but this didn’t help us getting to breakfast in the heavy rain.Fortunately my wife and I found a way through a number of verandas and lobbies to get to breakfast without getting wet.We wondered why we weren’t told on umbrella request at reception that there is a way to get to breakfast without getting wet. Breakfast location was wonderful with a lovely variety of food, though the eggs , bacon and other hot foods were always served warm to cold. Overall we enjoyed the resort and will recommend this place to our family and friends especially with young kids.

Beautiful location. Great setup for children. Could do with a little more undercover area (especially parking), so you have to get in early...or get lucky. Great activities for the whole family and reasonably priced.

Nice resort. Great for the kids. Plenty of activities. Inflatable water park, trampolines, and some free water sports. Staff helpful and friendly. Rooms and facilities are looking at little tired and really need a bit of an update.
