Story

Northbeach Pavilion Café, Restaurant & Bar is located inside the Heritage Listed North Beach Bathers Pavilion at picturesque North Wollongong Beach. The structure has been meticulously renovated by the Wollongong City Council to the highest standards, with the state-of–the-art finishes, bringing the 1930’s building back to it’s former glory. The venue is light filled with a contemporary yet casual dining room and bar area with communal tables and ample outdoor seating. A local place, where you can drop in for a quick bite and drink, a breakfast, lunch and dinner, a special celebration with family or lazy Sunday afternoon spritz and stuzzicchini (Italian appetizers) with friends.

Northbeach Pavilion Café & Bar showcases simple Italian cuisine sourced from the best quality local producers. The menu items are made to share and contributing to the restaurant’s ambience of communal eating. At the restaurant's heart is the Stefano Ferrara Woodfired Pizza Oven, directly imported from Naples, Italy – the birthplace of the Pizza and is a 100% wood fired oven. Our Pizza’s are made Neopolitan style – the dough is hand rolled, the oven fired at 400 degrees Celsius and the pizza left to cook for 90 seconds. We only use Caputo Molino 00 flour and San Marzano tomatoes from Naples regarded to be the best ingredients for pizza – making is naturally sweeter and easier to digest.
