I've been to The Green Room a number of times and the main reason I keep going back is for the coffee. It is a 10 out of 10. Especially when you need a hit to the face. Today I had one of their specials. A Bbq beef brisket burger and chips. I must say it was average. Even with all the bbq sauce it still tasted dry. It needed maybe a Portobello mushroom or some cheese or both. The fries were over salted and slightly under cooked. I like mine over cooked. The location is great. With lots of people walking past. The beach is a stones throw away. Was alittle cold but they have heaters. Staff are normally quite friendly. Today they were not. Even when I returned my plate the counter all I got was a quite Thank you, no smile and they went about their business. I know I expect too much however in the restaurant game you have to do everything right other wise you fail and kindness and politeness is key. I will keep going back as this was a once off and every other time they have been great.
We came for a late lunch and the team were kind enough to keep the kitchen open for us to grab a bite to eat - the service is amazing, with friendly staff. I got the stinger burger, with great quality ingredients making it delish! the atmosphere is cozy. And being right next to the beach it makes it a great location. Would definitely recommend checking them out!
Great little cafe on City Beach, nice sunny spot in the mornings with plenty of outdoor seating. I had the Banger Mac with hash brown which was really good. Very smooth coffee as well, highly recommended if you’re in the area.
Good iced covfefe and freshly baked goods. The muffin was crunchy on top and packed full of berries. Nice little location always complete with a diverse range of puppers and doggos. Fresh water for the dogs is also available. The wait times on weekends can be a little hectic and seating can be difficult to come by with people settling in for the long haul.

As can be expected, it's hard to get a spot here on sunny non-working days. When it's not as crowded though, this cafe is ideal for drink and/or bite on a City Beach trip! They do a really nice vegetarian possibly vegan, not sure burger and yummy thin fries. Choc chip muffins are also very order worthy. Service is super sweet!
Went to Wollongong for two days. Popped in during our morning walk. Great coffee and yummy food. Had simple Vegemite on toast first day, butter and Vegemite spread out to the edge of the sourdough. Thank you !!! Came back next morning and had to have the bacon and eggs hubby had previous morning coz they looked amazing. Simply perfect. Love the olive oil drizzled onto plate, gives a kick to the taste buds. Very aromatic. Would go back in a heart beat!
Great service, great food and even better location. I really appreciate when they're busy how they give a realistic expectation of wait times before you order. Summer or winter- it's the perfect spot to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine.
Barista too busy having a chinwag. Took over 5 mins for a quick takeaway coffee with no queue of coffees. Coffee tasted ok probably would have been better if he focused on his job instead of a woman. Went back there for a quick bite to eat at lunch. Asked if I could have a toasted sandwich without tomato. Got told by the rude owner we ain't no sandwich cafe and laughed. We then left to go somewhere else whilst the owner muttered insults at us. Would never recommend.
we ordered 2 cups of coffee for take away. They took 15mins just for 2 coffee!! A tall man barista was so slow to make coffee and never rush. He really doesnt care customers r waiting. Touching his mobile, chatting with staff. The barista should learn what is the customer service. If u r rush, I dont recommend to go there.
