We enjoying coming here for the under 5 events. It's can be challenging getting parking nearby but if you're patient you'll eventually get one. They layout in the kids area had recently been refreshed. It looks so much better and feels like there is more space. This is a decent sized library with lots of books, seating areas and the staff are always helpful.
Its one of my favourite spaces for not ony borrowing books but for using the free PC and printer service. Its a favourite place to go for peace & quiet and to just browse. They've always purchased the books I've recommended they buy. This library has served me well over a period of 25 years through raising a family and being a safe haven throughout times I was unemployed. Best ever library.
The library was pretty quiet today a we were there a little later. Lots of lovely space to sit and look at the books, we are continually exploring different non fiction sections to find books we haven't borrowed before.
Have used and loved this library for years. Great catalogue, easily obtainable books from other libraries in the system and they're great at getting new releases in :
A great community library including various activities which I have attended with my children.nnHowever, after studying for a National exam for the past year in the quiet room off to the side, I have been told in recent weeks that the doors to the quiet space must remain open. There is no consistency amongst staff and I have been able to study practice exams prior to this with no issues since Jan 2025.nnI was told by a staff member that it is for “safety reasons” however when asked I was not provided with the details of this. A library should have spaces for quiet study with doors able to be closed, for example when doing past exam papers to simulate exam conditions.nnChermside library and other peripheral libraries in the Moreton Bay region have these facilities with no “safety” concerns with doors needing to be left open.nnVery disappointed to see that these are the new changes being put forward to people simply wanting to find a quiet space to study.
