What a fun day out for the family if you like to be in the water! There's so many different water activities.n3 large water slides, 1 you can use with a tube. 2 short shotgun slides, indoor pools, outdoor pools, lots of shady areas to sit.nCanteen where you can buy lunch that is reasonably priced, ice-cream and slushies!nChanging rooms and plenty of parking.nGreat day out for the family!
The library as is is fine. It has an array of books and has some good spaces to read or study quietly. Its nice and spacious feeling and has ample aircon. I don't interact with staff too much but from what I've encountered they were respectful for the most part. Would love more spaces to study or sit and read. A majority of space is taken up by people and it's very first come, first serve. Yet again there is a quiet space, never been however.nnIt's a long walk from inside to the toilet, which gets a bit annoying , and causes some anxiety of my things being touched. There is the parents room next to the kids area, but thats for parents,,, and kids,,, and may need to be used by them. would like more accessible bathroom facilities inside, as i have a weaker bladder.nnMy only big complaint is children screaming and squealing through out. I get it in the kids area, but sometimes they're spread out and running around and causing a ruckus. During weekdays its fine, but working in weekends can be difficult when coming earlier. There was one announcement over the PA system but kids continued squealing over that. It would be better to have some discipline over that, maybe reducing play to one area, but i get that type of thing isnt a librarians job. It feels more like a playground rather a library there, maybe just build a playground somewhere else or whatever.nnIt's an overall positive experience, besides a couple of nitpicks here and there. The book selection could use more material, especially in the Young Adult and Graphic Novel sections, etc, but still enough interesting things to read. I have been to one or two of the activities when I was younger, and I guess it was fine too.
A really great modern library, right in the heart of Chermside. It has access to all sorts of facilities Including a children's section, reference books, meeting rooms, quiet spaces and even a cafe! Would highly recommend the second biggest library in Brisbane, with its accessibility and reading selection.
Nice place to visit with friends, have coffee, swimming etc.
Great make over and perfect little inside coffee shop.nThe food and service was excellent at the library. The new look provides disability access for facilities. They have weekly courses available for the public.
