I don't go to the Albany Creek library very often but I was shocked at how noisy it was.  With screaming kids, parents on mobiles, and alarms sounding because someone had gone out the fire exit door, I couldn't hear myself think. I would of had a more peaceful experience if I went across to the cafe across the road. Yes, libraries are public spaces. Yes, I could have booked a quiet room. But I just visited thinking it would be a relax quiet space to read a book in peace - not a place with kids running around playing tag. Also, I love kids. I have 5 of them, one of whom is a 4 year old. I'm not anti kid.

Clean, friendly, and spacious library. Nice area for the kids to read and a playground outside. I was able to work at one of the desk spaces and free wifi available. I would recommend bringing a jumper as the air-conditioning is rather cold during winter.

I only went in to read my own book. The staff gave me a cheery welcome, and showed me a comfortable chair. Very nice!nAs you would expect, many many books. They were well laid out, with plenty of space to move around.nA credit to Moreton Shire Council.

Great place to go to chill out with variety of assistance be it books, newspapers magazines.Many Computers for searching information and photo copying to complete your task.Become involved with a membership or learn about local interests and groups.

Really friendly staff, great kids books area and games library.nMy only issue and I have found this in many libraries is the level of noise.nYou used to be able to go to the library to study, now that is almost impossible. The library used to be a place you needed to be quite, to whisper.nDon't get me wrong, kids need to be able to go to the library, they need to acquire a love for books and reading I have kids so I get that they can't always be super quiet.nThey have a few separate rooms, why don't they get used for toddler reading time and the talks that get held?nIt is really disruptive to have kids running around screaming and have a full presentation happening in the main area of the library when you want to get some reading and study done even with earphones on.
