We were there the other night and it was a difficult process just to get in and have a meal. Very expensive, and the meal was less than appealing. I got the salmon, which was dry, the potatoes were greasy and burnt. That was the special and cost $30.00! Very disappointing. The wine I had was very cheap tasting at a cost of $7.00 a glass (half full). My husband ordered the Moroccan Chicken, it was dry and tasteless - $12.50. We will not be returning there. We don't go out much and this is the very reason why.

Great location , good food, cheery staff, but this is a warning about the parking. Tried ti find a street park on the weekend. Then drove into the SLclub car park and parked right in the front row. Great. Didnt see the Council? parking restriction sign due to a high cab beside me. Enjoyed my steak and salad. i suspect Somebody from within the club called council parking inspector and I have been fined $157. Evidently public parking not allowed in the front row. The Nobby Beach club could barrier or cone this front row off, to avoid fines to SC members. But No. End result $157 to GCC Council and I will not visit this club again.

We enjoyed calamari and Flathead meals. Both well cooked and well presented. Price acceptable for location and look of the place. Happy customers.

Great location, cold beers, but a little expensive compared with other surf clubs on the coast. Ok!
