A nice experience type restaurant. Food was nicely presented and tasted good. Nothing really stood out for me as we did it Asian style and tried to order one of each off the menu so we could try everything. Atmosphere was good, and if you could get a table by the window you would get nice views of the city. Staff were plentiful and very helpful.
I got engaged here of course 5/5 stars. It was great. I had an amazing accomodating night. It was very romantic and all thanks to the staff for making it special. Had a special plate come out and everything. Loved the food and they provided the best view in the whole restaurant. Really appreciate the effort you guys have towards your customers. Love always
We stayed at Sofitel Melbourne and dined as a family of 3 at No. 35 on 30 March to have an earlier evening. Beyond the beautiful sunset views of the city, we found the food and drinks to be enjoyable and elegantly plated. While one or two dishes were slightly over-salted for our taste, we found this to be the case for most restaurants in the city. We were served by Ashley, who was courteous and warm to our daughter. The general manager at the front of the house was a cut above the others, and fully attentive to the varied needs of each table. For example, she noticed that we were sharing the entrees and proactively brought us sharing plates. Our water glasses were also refilled so smoothly that we didn’t notice anyone doing it. Would recommend No35 for a pleasant dining experience in the city.
I booked this restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday and the whole experience was great. Wonderful service the waiters were very nice and attentive, astonishing view, and food was delicious. A bit expensive but worth it for special occasions.
Nice view, service, and food from start to end. All the courses were delicious and unique. If you want to try more things, suggest your companion ask for different things and you can share, best decision ever! Spoil yourself and your loved ones here in a big way or rather high way. Skyline was amazing; it doesn't matter what time it is.
Finally we made it last night. We all had 3 courses meal only available Tue to Thurs. My entree King prawn was huge and cooked perfectly. Salmon is my main and it was cooked just right. Soft and juicy. My favourite is the Tiramisu. Highly recommended. Service was good. All staff were friendly. Wonderful dinner with nice view and perfect meal. Will return for sure.
Will is the most amazing waiter I have ever met in my life and I traveled all around the world! He made our experience more than amazing and we will always remember him. Thank you for making our date night the loveliest! The other waiters were also very nice and friendly! The food was also amazing, it was so tasty and I consider myself a picky eater I am French haha Beautiful view, great ambiance, great prices 100% recommend the place! Enjoy!
High tea with resplendent views of Melbourne and a pianist was the perfect way to celebrate Valentine’s Day. At $90pp plus cc surcharge it’s definitely at the highest end of Melbourne’s high tea offerings but we enjoyed the experience. The savouries were pedestrian but the pastry chef impressed and the scones were the best I’ve had in some time. Deliciously light and fluffy. Side note do visit the bathroom before departure. The view is sensational not to mention the sublime Balmain hand wash
We had a wonderful dinner with 3 courses and the hospitality of the staffs. Nice ambient, great views, yummy foods. A must visit restaurant when you are in Melbourne. You will get all in once! Well done to the chefs and management of Sofitel Melbourne on Collins.
We visited here recently and wow it was absolutely perfect, a truly unforgettable night. The restaurants team looked after us amazingly, my parents even said it’s the best service they have ever received. And that says a lot, considering they have travelled to many fine dining restaurants all across the world. We could not be more impressed and honestly could not fault a single thing. Just pure perfection, no comparison. Ever dish was absolutely delicious and decadent, full of flavour yet still satisfying. Our absolute favourites were the ribs and the crème brûlée, must tries! Furthermore, the staff members were extremely welcoming and warm. Some of the most friendly waiters we’ve ever had, hands down. Just imagine your coats being taken for you, a small table for your hand bags, alterations to menu items to meet dietary requirements, complimentary champagne, complementary entrees… just wow. Unlike anything we’ve experienced. Not to mention the stunning view of the city skyline! Definitely one of our favourite restaurants in Melbourne. A must visit for sure.
