Purchased, from store . Service and staff good but ...... Had my expensive recliner set made, waited excitedly for it , had for 2 ys 1month Warranty until end Nov . Went in store who put a warranty claim in . Rang early Jan, 2 recliners not working .1 of which is rarely used . Frame on another is uneven .We had personal tragedy so just couldn't get there, ring or deal with anything .... . Warranty is 2 yrs not a second more .....They made it clear that they'd send out some one to look , but if it needed any tools , parts , fixing they would not pay ...... For a expensive lounge, 3 out of 4 recliners need attention I couldn't be more disappointed. Will never step a foot in store ever again . I will never recommend them either . No compassion shown for our circumstance, but 2 yrs is all you'll get if your are lucky ....... . Don't blame employees..... obvious policy to go to the letter of the warranty and shoddy product that just won't last ....... go elsewhere is my advice. Wish I'd looked at reviews before I purchased .
Would never purchase from Nick Scali again. Very poor quality, and very very poor customer service. Purchased the Jordana timber dining table from Nick Scali and within the 2 year warranty period the whole top of the table began cracking. Tried to get it fixed through their customer service team however they just kept pushing me along until it was out of the 2 year period and then they said they couldn’t help me!! Spoke to staff at the Maroochydore store and they just hand balled me back to the customer service line. The entire table top now has hairline cracks through all the lacquer and the 2000$ table needs to be replaced. Absolutely terrible. Spending that much you wouldn’t expect a product that needs to replaced 2 and a half years later. Have spent a fair bit of money at nick Scali sofas, ottomans, side tables, coffee tables etc but would absolutely never purchase with them again due to the poor customer service and poor quality.
I purchased the Atlanta lounge from the Maroochydore store 3 years ago for $3000. Unfortunately the material inside all 6 of the back cushions have disintegrated, meaning they are lumpy, out of shape, & I can no longer remove the cushion covers to wash them. Knowing the couch was out of warranty, I contacted Nick Scali in the hopes I could purchase replacement cushions, which to my disappointment isn’t possible, & they weren’t able to suggest any solutions. So now I’m trying to sell my otherwise perfect couch, that’s only 3 years old, for a few hundred bucks, because all of the back cushions need replacing. I will not purchase from Nick Scali again. I’ve learnt that a higher ticket price doesn’t mean quality. My $1000 chaise lounge purchased from Fantastic Furniture at the same time for our second lounge room, is still in immaculate condition. A replacement for our Atlanta lounge has been ordered from Plush Sofas. It’s so incredibly disappointing to make such a big purchase, for something you believe is high quality, for it to literally fall apart in such a short timeframe.
DO NOT PURCHASE FROM NICK SCALI!!! You WILL be disappointed and you will be purchasing new furniture to replace the cheap furniture they would supply you with. PURCHASE 1: MISTAKE We made the mistake of purchasing a leather lounge 4 years ago, colour pealed off after 2 years. All covered under warranty they told us when we purchased...nope...to expensive for them to fix so best they could offer is a store credit for 20% of the purchase value.... PURCHASE 2: MISTAKE We then made the mistake of trusting them for the new fabric Davoli lounge. The two lounges were both manufactured wrong, the 4 outer legs were 5-10mm off the ground and both lounges rock when you sit on them twisting the frame. They sent a tech out 2 weeks later, he left, couldn't fix it, said they needed to give us different size legs. They sent another tech 1 week later, he tried to get away with inserting multiple metal washers to jack out the outer legs... I sent him packing and said I wanted it fixed properly. Their service team said they found the correct size middle legs and were posting them. Only 4 of the required 8 legs arrived, and they weren't the 'correct' legs, they were the same plastic ones someone had used a hacksaw on to reduce them by 10mm :0.!!! 4 weeks on, 2 technicians and incorrect legs. What a joke....I fixed it myself. PURCHASE 3: MISTAKE We also purchased a Tanami table at the same time and had it delivered to storage. I was so worried about them stuffing up our new couch I went to check out the table. And what do you know......the instore one has Australian Oak VENEER on the top and bottom of the table top, ours has just PLYWOOD underneath the table top. I've sent both photos of what is instore and what was delivered to them. What the actual....current service ticket opened for this one....lets see what rubbish they come up with or if they come good on supplying the product advertised. Oh and FYI, when their website says it's constructed with 'AUSTRALIAN OAK', IT"S A LIE. IT"S PLYWOOD WITH A 1mm VENEER!!!. Whatever happened to something having to be made of the majority of the ONLY advertised material in the SPECIFICATIONS!! A correct product description would be CHEAP CHIPBOARD COVERED IN PLY and 1mm of actual VENEER Australian Oak. DO NOT TRUST THEM TO DELIVER THE PRODUCT YOU SEE IN THEIR NICE SALES STORES. The CHEAP OVERSEAS products will not meet your expectations and you will be like us and wishing we never stepped foot into their store. I'm now worried that further issues that I'm sure will arise with their products due to their poor build quality will also not be met with a satisfactory response. Read the reviews online....trust them....we are all in the same boat. I've attached some photos for you to see for your self... David.
After a shaky start with Nick Scali, they came through as promised. My partner and I were worried about ordering from Nick Scali after reading the reviews here and so, decided to ask them about it. Questions were somewhat weaved but we left conversation feeling okay about a purchase. We decided to go ahead with the lounge we liked and asked to be called frequently about delivery updates. They didn’t come as frequently as we would have liked, but the delivery was almost exactly as they assured us. Whenever we had questions, Bradon helped answer as quickly as possible and if he couldn’t, would find out. We really valued that approach. While I appreciate the reviews about Nick Scali and certainly shared some of their concerns, I am very happy we went ahead. Would recommend this store to my friends and family, just be persistent with updates about your order and please walk into the store with a realistic expectation for delivery - these lounges are made to order, not pre-made and shipped when ordered. Thanks Bradon, Peter and Mandy for a great experience!
I spent thousands on a modular sofa that was delivered defective about 4 weeks ago. The sofa is not fit for purpose and can't be used as intended and I am still in the Nick Scali machine waiting to find out how and when this will be fixed. I've made multiple calls and all I am told is someone will be in touch. Still waiting...and on the verge of getting formal advice about what to do. Terrible customer service for what is supposed to be a premium brand. Very disappointed and WOULD NOT recommend them to anyone.
Waited 13 weeks, after the money grab required an extra 1% for using a Credit card after the docs signed which no-one tells you prior to purchase to be advised by 2x SMS it was to be delivered and the driver would call - he never did prompting me to call, cut off twice to then be told it was damaged and needed to be fixed with no delivery date - Never again will I purchase from this woeful store. If I could give a negative star rating I would.
Lack of Customer Service! We purchased a lounge in June 21 with a delivery date of Sept . We received a call to say it will be another month and that they will provide a discount. Contacted them in October to find out where it is and then it was pushed to December. To cut a story short after numerous calls to them as they did not call us, we have only just received our lounge this month - 5 months after due date. When my partner asked about the discount when they finally called to tell us it was in, they told him $90. When we went to the store to pay the invoice, I then clarified is that all after a 5 month wait and promises of delivery. He just stated that is what we told you on the phone. Then we had to pay the delivery drivers $90 so discount??? I don't think so. We will be taking our business elsewhere and recommending people to purchase from a store with better customer service.
I wish had engaged with these reviews before visiting Nick Scali Maroochydore - 2.6 stars average rating from 75 Google reviews. Eeeek! I ordered an 'Everly' model leather lounge on 20 April 2022 with an estimated 12-14weeks delivery period, which has invariably blown out to around 20 weeks, with delivery now expected to occur early September, not mid-July as expected. Of course, delivery could very well go beyond early September. Why cannot Nick Scali better manage their customer expectations at point of sale, particularly around reasonable timeframes for furniture delivery? There are so many similar stories of customers being told timeframes for delivery which are grossly misquoted. This is classic bait and switch behaviour and I'm not copping it. I have had unsatisfactory engagement with the store directly and offered unacceptable compensation of $85 to cover my delivery fee. I requested to get my $1500 deposit back but this request was met with a vague response. I feel as though i've been made a fool and 'stitched up', big time. Nick Scali has my substantial deposit as well as having me squarely by proverbial. If i was told from the outset that delivery of a leather lounge would take 5+ months I would have had a chuckle, politely declined the sale and then taken my business elsewhere. Now I'm stuck and just want my money back, reasonable compensation isn't and option and there are plenty of other great furniture stores in the Homemaker Centre at Maroochydore who are champing at the bit it sell me one of their lounges, which are either in stock ready to roll or can be delivered in a reasonable time frame. Many of these retailers have also said to me that this tale is something they hear on the daily from disaffected Nick Scali customers at the Maroochydore store. I should also mention that the contact from Nick Scali during the delay process was very underwhelming too. I first learned of the delay when I contacted Nick Scali online team to make enquiries on another product and when I requested to 'link' my order with that of the leather lounge from the in-store purchase at Maroochydore was nonchalantly told the delivery date had blow out until early September, luckily i was sitting down at the time. No proactive communication from the store itself regarding the delay, almost as if they assumed i would just cop it since they had my 30% deposit and all. Nick Scali have some lovely products, but their sales tactics are questionable and I alleged they understate the delivery times to secure sales contracts instead of providing realistic timeframes. Customer service with respect to keeping you updated with the actual delivery time is also lacklustre as with their ability to discuss or offer reasonable compensation, with the default position seeming to be 'let's discuss this when your furniture arrives', at which point a paltry delivery fee waive $85 or similar is offered up. This sucks and I want out and way from NS. Recommend you ask very targeted questions around delivery timeframes, ability to cancel contract and obtain your 30% deposit back and how and when you will be updated of any delays to the delivery of your furniture item/s. I will be escalating my concerns to Nick Scali national office and if there is no resolve i will refer to the relevant consumer protection authority to investigate. Jay
Staff were unbelievably helpful. John and Peter were attentive and knew exactly what to recommend. John went the extra mile and made sure we walked away satisfied clients. Can highly recommend this store!
