Seriously, I've had much better seafood than this place. It was disappointing. The lobster tails were so overcooked and tough and rubbery. The salmon was overcooked and throat scratching dry. The baby squid taste like they were just boiled and flame torched a little. Overall just disappointing.
They offer wide fresh options & can cook them for you. But the cooking is sadly lacking. Garlic butter lobster tail was severely overcooked & tough to bite. I actually ordered the exact same thing at Peter's next to Nicholas and it was more tender.
When it comes to freshly cooked seafood this takes the cake. Wonderfully marinated squid along with the battered fish and grilled prawns. Great spot for lunch near the water in Sydney’s bustling fish market.
Lobster with Cheese was not fresh and disgusting. Full taste of hydrogen peroxide as if I was eating hair dye agent. The experience was so unbearable that I almost had to vomit after eating. This trader is simply tarnishing the image of Sydney Fish Market!
Underwhelming experience. All the food was already prepared and kept warm in display so it wasn't entirely fresh. The prices was a little on the expensive side, paid around $70+. The lobster and sea scallops were packed with mashed potatoes and cheese which ultimately dismissed the overall seafood taste. The lobster meat was also tough and tasteless. The scallops wasn't cleaned properly and still had water content, causing it to become mushy. Fortunately, their oysters pulled through and they were scrumptious. Creamy and sweat, fresh from the sea. I could get 5 more dozens of them.
Had the cooked seafood here and firstly it's mostly pre made and kept on a warmer. So the oysters and scallops were small. Overall food was a bit dry and not the greatest. The customer service was good.
Absolutely loved the seafood I ordered. It was delivered well packaged. The cooked seafood only needed to be reheated on the stove and the raw seafood was deliciously fresh. I highly recommend ordering from Nicholas Seafood Traders. Well satisfied customers Bonus was being able to order Machi Machi as well
I ordered myself a seafood feast to celebrate my lockdown birthday. When it arrived it was very fresh, well packaged for the trip, and absolutely delicious. Excellent value and a great treat. Thank you!
First time here. I am so impressed. Food is tasties and fresh. I will come back definitely to try something else next time.
I ordered the indulge seafood platter for my mums birthday yesterday. Great value for money and the only store in the fish markets which allows you to substitute items- big plus for me!. Mum was totally overwhelmed- presentation, value for money and freshness were outstanding! My only feedback is delivery outside of 30km my mum lives in Sydney Metro, just an extra 10km out was a whopping $50! I think improvement could be made to the delivery fee. Otherwise, would happily order again and again
