New Way Lawyers

Jennifer recently handled a family law matter for me & I was so thoroughly impressed by her professionalism, responsiveness and empathy the latter of which not expected from a lawyer, but appreciated!. I chose New Way as I loved their values and ethos around giving back, and my experience at each step validated that decision. My family are based outside of Australia and our matter did not run as smoothly as I expected, creating complexity which was calmly navigated & always with a sense of fairness and genuine best interest for my son. This is the first time I’ve engaged with a lawyer family law or otherwise without an adversarial mindset, which was so refreshing. Greatly appreciate the support of Jennifer and Cassie- thank you!!

I would suggest giving this firm a wide swerve. I was consulting them about probate for my mother's Will. The initial consultation took one and a half hours and cost $195 most law firms charge around $20 to $50.00 for the initial consultation It was agreed that New Way Lawyers would write to my mother's bank, requesting that they waive the need to go to probate as the estate wasn't very large and there are only three beneficiaries. A draft of the letter was to be sent to me before sending to the bank. After a week, I was on the point of ringing the firm to enquire as to how the letter was going. The same day, even before I rang them I received an email requesting $600.00 be deposited into their trust account. I rang the firm to ask if it took a week to ask for funds, how long would it take to send a letter. I was told four weeks. I couldn't believe it and asked the receptionist if she was serious. She said she would check with the solicitor. She did and came back to say, that that was correct, it would take FOUR weeks to write a letter. Since then I have engaged another law firm. They sent a letter to my mother's bank within a week. They have also told me how much the process is going to cost, right down to dollars and cents. They charged nothing for the initial consultation, and have refused my offer to deposit funds into their trust account. They have said it will all be settled when the matter is finalised. I think New Way Lawyers motto "People before profits" should definitely be changed to "Profits First". I would definitely not recommend this firm to anyone.

Very unsatisfied with the "service" - very judgmental, unable to express a client's wishes, nil final service provided due to complete lack of regard or understanding. Highly recommend NOT dealing with this lot.
