Very nice airport. Just the perfect size. You can get most places from here such as Christchurch, Auckland, Wellington, Etc. Not to busy and easy to use. Very friendly staff and air tickets from here aren't that expensive. A very good small airport. A shame you can't get international flights from here to Sydney. 5 stars. Food isn't to overpriced either.

Not the same friendly airport it used to be, now full of grumpy parking wardens and security staff

A classic regional airport. Check-In, waiting area and boarding gates are all in the same hall. There is a free and nice plattform, if you like to go outsider and watching some planes while waiting. WiFi is also free and works well.

They've ruined a once friendly relaxed airport. No other main airport (including Chch & Auck) force you through parking ticket barriers for drop offs & pick ups. It's now like a hostile money grabbing military base. Shameful.
