Asian Chinese fusion restaurant located in Canberra Casino with a "pop" feel. By "pop" I mean just the placemats. I like the blinged out chandeliers in the casino. The clean white interior of the restaurant with red and black lanterns is cool. It was hard to decide which dishes were cute looking as the menu is plain with no pics. I do wish I'd ordered some angry birds dumplings. The food we ordered looked decidedly plain compared to their pics online. Service was great as we were the only ones in the restaurant. Taste and price wasn't bad either. I liked the light, fresh dumpling soup. The flavours were delicate and exquisite. Chicken, lamb, the side of veges and mocktails were nothing innovative, but they were well done. Unfortunately, their "pop" yum cha is only on Fridays so if you want cute dumplings, make sure you go only on that day. I would definitely come back for the banquet or yum cha.
The couple times ive been to the casino, i completely missed that this was tucked here The food was nice, and I had a Queen of Hearts cocktail that was tasty n a lil sour - very nice... food highlights were the calamari and the roast chook Food: 4/5
This is the second time we went to this restaurant for dinner. We like it because: - nice ambience and it's quiet enough that we can talk comfortably - the service was really good. staff was polite and attentive - the food are generally good. We had different opinions on the table, some said some food are a bit salty the barramundi or a bit too spicy the noodle. Everyone loves the duck.
Went for a light dinner here at 6.30. Having lived and worked in Asia for 30 years I am very fussy when it comes to Asian food cooked and served in Oz. So often it is westernized and lacking subtlety. Natural Nine was a real surprise and a delight. Would highly recommend
Went for their POP YUM CHA as i heard it’s the new thing in town. Selection wasn’t a lot but that’s to maintain quality. The prawn with mushroom was the winner of the dishes and the stuffed tofu wasnt bad as well. Definitely this is something as a light snack or dinner. To get here, you will need to go inside the casino just beside the bar. The restaurant is small so i feel like booking is essential.
Natural Nine is a little hard to find but once you do you will be rewarded. We tried this restaurant with friends and got the 'Roulette' degustation which is the chefs choice. We were given green broad beans smoked, chicken bbq, delicious chicken buns, pork belly, duck fried rice and a fantastic custard with icecream and chocolate. There were surprises along the way with citrus peel in the duck and chilli in the dessert. The service was wonderful and the decor was comfortable and modern. Highly recommend!
I enjoyed the wonderful food as the chef uses fresh ingredients and puts a creative twist to it. Love the revamp as the restaurant has a new life to it.
The service is amazing. Food is light favourd but you can ask for extra seasonings on the said. You will need to enter the casino to come in here. Took me a while to find it but it was worth it. Coffee is not the best but tea is really good.
Great food, even better drinks! Would recommend the Skittles mocktail. The bao and dumplings were also really tasty. Staff were really lovely also.
We got the banquet for the two of us. Absolutely delicious. Everything we got was great, amazing flavours and great serving sizes. Definitely wouldn’t leave there hungry. Service was decent considering it was pretty busy, staff were friendly.
