It facilitates a few different things like basketball, netball and flex and stretch classes I saw a sign for it. There's plenty of parking especially disabled right infront of doors and more around the back. But if its before a game good luck finding a free park, sometimes I have to park up street. If you go at night they have excellent lighting that automatically turn on when you pull in, otherwise it is very dark. There are toilets available but I don't think they have disabled toilets or for mums with bubs. It's been awhile since I was inside but they have a drink and food machine for anyone. It's one street away from auchenflower train station and bus stop so easy access if you don't have a car. You should look it up and see what they have to offer because they always have something going on. It's a great place to start your kids playing sports. It's been there since I was 10 and I'm now 45 so it must have good things going on or it wouldn't be there still. Forgot photos sorry it was at night. I'll go and get some this week.
The fact this arena holds state and national level events between Jan and March and it's not airconditined is ridiculous.
As a facility it does a good job of providing a place for people to play ball. The upstairs court is a little pokey and players note that the bounce is a bit strange. Parking can be an issue when there is a lot on. Staff and canteen were good.
Have played here on & off since 2011 and did 5 years of basketball officiating. Great place to play basketball and always a great atmosphere to support the BRISBANE CAPITALS
Not enough parking - when events are on, the carpark fills up and visitors park anywhere they can - including illegally on footpaths nearby. Doesn't help being so close to the Wesley Hospital. Parking inspectors do seem to visit and issue tickets.
I love this place allowed guys to make few shots even without been from any basket club. I feel thankful for that.
This place is close to the train station and easily accessible. However the courts upstairs looks a bit older with not so much ventilation. It was very warm in that area even though there were not more than 50 peoples including players in the court. The parking access is bit tricky as the entrance to the complex is just at the corner of the street. There is a small Cafe serving food and drinks.
Family and kids friendly staff . highly recommended for basketball training.
Four courts. Can be annoying to get to court 3 - no wheelchair access for crts 3 & 4. Canteen is not bad, lots of options on a weekend game day, but only drinks during the week. Refs are the standard fare for social bball. Can be a bit strict on small things. A bit expensive to play here if you are playing for a club.
This place during working hours is fantastic. Look lost .next minute friendly station master is there to assist. Always a greeting. Always offering to help. So wonderful these days from Qld rail.
