I love browsing this Myer. Always pleasant staff & good well stocked quality fashion selections. They have a great Miss Shop with on point fashion & gym wear. Also the Forever New & Review are personal favourites
I bought 3 items for my granddaughter which were fine but paid $7.95 for each of the 3 items to be Christmas gift wrapped. Which I thought being Myer they will come wrapped lovely. Not only they are wrapped so awful but it looks like butcher paper. Not impressed Myer you have ripped me off. Please re-think on what you charge and who is doing your wrapping. Obviously now I will have to re-wrap.
MYER STORE IN BRISBANE CBD FEELS A BIT TIRED Myer is a well-known departmnet store operating across Asutralia. Arguably it's Melbourne city store is its flagship and this one in Brisbane just feels a bit empty and in need of a refresh. It operates over 4 floors in a building on the Queen St mall. Lifts and escalators throughout so people with mobility issues will have no trouble. Toilets in store on various levels.
After repeated attempts to get attention of any staff member in the women's shoes department. I managed to flag down someone who was actively avoiding any eye contact with any possible customer and ask for the shoe I was interested in. She came back to me and informed that the only pair in my size were the display. Said pair had the price STAPLED to to sole. When I asked about the treatment of the shoe, she simply expected me to pull it out and, deal with it. She quickly turned down the sale instead of offering any form of anything.
Staff need better training. Specifically went to Myer for a purchase to use a Myer birthday gift card, was told couldn’t use the card in store, had to provide email version. I explained the reason I received a physical card, as it states in the card, was due to my not being opted in for emails from Myer. They said nothing they can do, it can’t be accepted in store. Made my purchase anyway and left. Later I then decided to confirm this by actually ringing Myer, and was told that’s incorrect, that card certainly can be used in store, and in fact can only be used in store. Will not waste my time at this store again.
The staff are mostly nice and they're trying their best. It can be pretty difficult to find someone. But everything is nicely presented and it's quite nice to shop here. Would prefer if they paid better attention to the ethics of their supply chain.
Myer can be a bit hit and miss. It's never worth buying things full price, as they are on sale every second week. My Wife always says their buying agents need a review because their clothes are awful. I find the men's wear is so-so, and a lot are very over-priced. The worst sale is the buy one get one 50% off - I absolutely hate this offer!! Just give me one at a decent price instead of trying to get multiple sales in a transaction. When I see this deal, I literally walk away.
Michelle from the YSL counter provided the loveliest service I could have ever asked for! She is very knowledgeable, kind, patient despite the busy Christmas shopping hours! Thanks Michelle!

The centre has ridden the crest and is washing into shore. A good variety of stores, but the foot traffic has dropped away.
