nnMyer’s new store, The Cook Shop & Custom Chef, is fantastic! They offer a wide variety of cookware suitable for all types of ranges and ovens, along with amazing kitchen knives, knife blocks, and even electrical appliances. The staff are professional, very friendly, and clearly knowledgeable about their products. Highly recommend visiting if you love cooking!
I hate going into Myer. The staff are mostly bitter, middle-aged women who do nothing but stare you up and down, yet never bother to help. They walk around with this stuck-up attitude like they’re above everyone, but in reality, they’re just shop assistants who can’t even manage a basic “hello, how are you.” Funny thing is, they’ll happily greet someone their own age, around 50-60yr olds, but younger people like me? Completely ignored. Honestly, it comes across as ageist or maybe they’re just jealous and it’s pathetic.
Went in yesterday, 12/07, to buy a perfume as a birthday gift for my daughter. One of the lady’s working there who was ‘helping’ me, but instead was very clearly rushing me. Once I went up to pay, I asked if they did gift wrapping, she said yes, but it will be $7. I said yes that’s fine, to which she replied “But I don’t have time to do that right now, you can buy a gift bag” What sort of customer service is that? I understand it gets busy, but how about moving me to another employee who perhaps would be able to. I didn’t bother any further, I just paid and I was walking out, I saw her and 2 other employees standing around and having a chat and a laugh. Very disappointing experience. The other staff were also equally as unfriendly. Do better Myer Chermside.
Myers don't seem to have the same range anymore. I took a pair of pants off the sale rack, tried them on, and took them over to the counter. The lady said, you realise these are not on sale. How disappointing, why are they on the sale rack? It was very busy, surely the staff would be aware if someone put it back on the wrong rack. I left without purchasing anything!
This department store has been around for ages but keeps renewed and interesting.
