Always a great place to take the kids. Went here when they had the Pirates exhibition from Horrible Histories. Took the kids a couple times for that, was absolutely amazing for them. The Endeavour and Pandora artifacts and stories are something I didn't appreciate at a young age but find far more fascinating now.

Very informative, interactive displays. Loved the one about back yards and (animal) visitors. A great way to spend a couple of hours. Very friendly, knowledgeable staff.

Diverse and interesting collection of exhibits. Watch out for interesting temporary exhibitions. Liked Pandora exhibition. This museum also located near Reef HQ Aquarium.

Great place for kids to run around and play plus learn a couple of things. They're redoing the cafe at the moment so I'm sure that'll be nice when it reopens.

This had a fascinating exhibition of the history of indigenous pearl harvesting dating back to pre colonialism. It included trade with the Japanese and other surrounding nations. A real eye opener and truth teller about self sufficiency, art and culture. You"LL need at least one afternoon to read and explore everything. Well worth the visit.
