Must-see for anyone coming through Townsville. One of the best museums I've seen, period. Volunteer staff are friendly and knowledgeable, displays are well set out and give a good "feel" of each different conflict. Entry is free, so no excuse for missing out on this hidden gem.

This place is a gem and so under rated! The volunteers do a marvellous job in the place. They are often adding new displays, and the place is in a lovely setting. Great walks to be experienced.

It's informative and interesting but arguably amateur but if you can look past that it's good to visit for an hour or so.

I arrived at the museum,outside there are some big guns,I went inside,the man was very helpful,he showed me where to go,the first gallery was about the Boer war, very interested,then the first world war and second world war,the other galleries about Vietnam and the modern wars,I would definitely go again
