My mum recently died a few months ago. Her funeral was held in the West Chapel, and her ashes were buried in the Mt Thompson gardens. Jun Li kindly gave my sister and I a long tour of the available burial sites, and we found the perfect one for our needs - one that my 93-year-old father can walk to from the car park. Jun was warm and understanding, which was very much appreciated given our grief. Along with Martin Gomes, the funeral director, she surprised us with a Buddhist shrine for the ash interment ceremony. It's these little personal touches that made the experience all the more heart-warming. The Mt Thompson site itself is beautiful, on a hill with city views. I feel a sense of serenity visiting my mum.
This is a beautiful, serene final resting place, surprisingly close to the CBD. Mount Thompson is well over a hundred years old and houses many thousands of memorials dating back to the late 1800s. There are two medium sized chaples for services, which are simple and elegant. The office staff are friendly and able to help you with any issue from funeral services through to locating your loved ones final resting place. A very well cared for and maintained memorial gardens.
This is one of holland parks most beautiful memorial gardens. Its like a fairy garden so tranquil and serene. My father is here . I love to come here and just sit quitely and wonder around the beautiful gardens .
