This is a beautiful, serene final resting place, surprisingly close to the CBD. Mount Thompson is well over a hundred years old and houses many thousands of memorials dating back to the late 1800s. There are two medium sized chaples for services, which are simple and elegant. The office staff are friendly and able to help you with any issue from funeral services through to locating your loved ones final resting place. A very well cared for and maintained memorial gardens.
I attended a beautiful service at the East Chapel on Monday. A great venue with beaut facilities that felt just right for the service of my mate’s beautiful Mum. The gardens are amazing. Thank you.

I have had a disappointing experience with the crematorium, and that is a polite way of expressing my experience. I have been trying to arrange the distribution of my fathers ashes for three weeks. I asked them to arrange with my brother who wanted to do it while his grandson was up for the holidays. They didn’t contact him. When I return from my travel to find out they had not contacted him I called again. The lady apologized and said they would contact him or me. They did neither. I have no idea how a place which is I believe has such a responsibility to peoples emotions can be so insensitive to the point of being rude. I cannot express in words what I think of these people and their behavior.
First time for a service there. The interior compliments the solemn occasion. Love the gardens and vegetation. Plenty of parking spaces.
