My family and I had a great experience recently dealing with Dennis from George Harnett Metropolitan Funerals Mount Gravatt while organizing our Mums funeral. From our first meeting, Dennis was caring, empathetic and very efficient. He had the whole event so well organized we had nothing to worry about on the day. The service ran smoothly and he had everything set up and organized as promised. Thank you so much Dennis for all your assistance. You made the experience of planning a funeral so much easier.
I would just like to thank in particular Dennis & also the team from Metropolitan Funerals for all their assistance in preparing for our Dad's recent funeral. Dennis remembered all the important details and helped us to ensure the funeral was carried out with our Dad's wishes in mind. Everything was handled with such dignity and empathy and our family appreciated the caring, respectful attitude shown by the whole team at GHMF Mount Gravatt. Thank you for making a very difficult time a lot easier.

I found that George Hartlett Metropolitan Funerals were extremely professional and supportive throughout the whole process. The staff are very caring and dedicated themselves to ensuring mum’s service ran smoothly.
Our family was so pleased that Eilish Mobbs was our Funeral Director. The Memorial Service for my mother was the most beautiful occasion, with every detail planned and executed with professional and compassionate care. Eilish was able to step us through the process and fulfill our mother's wishes with empathy and sensitivity and just the right touch of humour. I could not recommend this young woman and her team highly enough to any family requiring funeral services. Several people in attendance complimented us on the service and how well executed all the details were. We have Eilish to thank for that also.

My Mum sadly passed away during lockdown in a nursing home. They were very kind and compassionate during this very hard time. She was 99. I highly recommend them to cater to all your needs. They clearly know all the small things that matter most to the family. Mum’s funeral was all arranged in a matter of hours, the same day she passed away. Thankyou for all your help and understanding, we really appreciated it.
My Dad passed suddenly during the Covid 19 period. His funeral took a lot of thinking out of the Norm.. Sally our funeral director was so absolutely amazing. She went far and beyond to make everything possible. From dads “ He only paid 50 dollars into his funeral plan” to discounts, making this time affordable and as stress free as possible. The directors bought dad home for us so we could have a drive by funeral, for all his friend and family to drive by and stop to say goodbye preceding the formal funeral, the morning was amazing they cared so much and made it possible. Dad’ coffin was placed in the front yard in front of his beloved Holden. I cannot recommend Metropolitan Funerals highly enough I’ve used them previously for my 13 week old sons funeral and both my grandparents have used there services. They made my family feel like family. Thank you so so much.
My sister Lisa and I would like to thank Metropolitan Funerals as was chosen by our Mum; whom had cleverly planned and prepaid her funeral. When the time came in March 2017, we called Metropolitan, Ann Gibbs was our director and all was taken care of. Ann was amazing and truly took into consideration the personal circumstances of our family, as our Mum's husband had also recently passed away. Twelve years and all was taken care of. I recommend to all, that the Invocare Group Metropolitan, Simplicity and White Lady Funerals as all that we had to personally deal with was handled with so much compassion and consideration.
