nMooroolbark, VIC – Surprisingly hard to leave physically and emotionallynIf you’ve ever wondered what happens when leafy suburbia, mild chaos, and a strong sense of “she’ll be right” collide — welcome to Mooroolbark.nNestled comfortably between “just far enough from the city to be inconvenient” and “close enough to feel like you might go in one day,” Mooroolbark offers a premium lifestyle for those who enjoy roundabouts, magpies with attitude, and the occasional mystery smell that no one questions anymore.nPublic transport exists — in the same way Bigfoot exists. You’ve heard about it, and sometimes you even see it, but timing is everything and belief helps.nThe local shopping strip has everything you need: a bakery that’s either incredible or closed, a bottle shop that knows you too well, and at least one business that has definitely changed names three times but is somehow still the same place.nNature lovers will enjoy the abundance of trees, birds, and that one walking track everyone says they use but no one actually does. Bonus points if you can identify which neighbour owns the dog that barks all night — it’s a community bonding exercise.nProperty-wise, you’ll find a delightful mix of “recently renovated” and “hasn’t changed since 1987,” often on the same street. Character is not lacking — consistency, perhaps.nAll jokes aside, it’s one of those places that quietly grows on you. Friendly people, a bit rough around the edges in spots, but genuinely a great place to live if you don’t take things too seriously.nWould recommend — just don’t tell too many people.
The railway station remains a good condition, clean and neat. Easy access with steps and lift.

I'm loving the new Mooroolbark Station. They recently elevated the station to remove the level crossing. The interior of the ground floor looks like a mini airport complete with amenities such as waiting room and toilets. To go up and down the train platform, you can use the stairs or take the lifts. The layout of the train station on the top floor is spacious with generous seating areas while waiting for the train going to the City or to Lilydale. The signboards showing the destinations are upgraded with big screens. A new carpark is conveniently built adjacent to the station that can accommodate around 450 vehicles. This carpark is not always filled up so you can park and take the train anytime without worrying that you will have any parking space. This station is also one of the few that has Flexiride where a bus with no fixed route can be booked using the app and the bus can take you around Mooroolbark. This Flexiride bus is very convenient because you will receive a text message when you book and when the bus will arrive. You can also track the location of the bus in real time and you will also know who your driver is. I give it full five stars even though the landscaping is not finished yet. I also hope that when the station is completely finished, they will give it a big squeaky clean scrub because it's already dirty from all of the construction. Other than these, this is probably the best train station in the Eastern Suburb. Well done for coming up with a very excellent public transport facility.
Must be a requirement to be slow, rude and unhelpful to work here. Nothing but poor experiences when needing to go to the counter. Just arrogant and never seem to understand the working of their own systems.
