Moda Restaurant

Delicious! Loved all of the dishes that we had - great flavours, all prepared and/or cooked perfectly. Hard to pick a favourite dish - the octopus salad would have to be the stand out. Even the Spanish beer was good. The price is quite expensive but you do get a decent sized serving - so much that we unfortunately had no room for dessert. Service was friendly but there were long wait for meals - it did seem busy (almost full) for a weeknight. Nice alfresco dining area, however it was a hot night with not enough breeze so it was very uncomfortable - they had ceiling fans that were on low (which I probably could've asked).

Cosy restaurant with great food at attentive service. We ordered the Javier’s table experience not knowing what food would be served. Although the entrees took a while to come out, the rest of the meals were nicely paced. The pate for entree was amazing, also highly recommend the duck breast and the beef short rib. Unfortunately the suckling pig was sold out by the time we arrived; would have loved to try it. The chocolate mousse with fresh berries was very delicious too. Amazing experience, will be back to try the scallops and pork!

Had a brilliant corporate dinner at Moda so I went back on my own. Food was outstanding . Rack of lamb out of this world. Tempura hake with passion fruit aioli scrumptious Some very interesting Spanish wines Service good. Wait staff very friendly The owner recognized me from our corporate dinner previously. Great P.R. A definite repeat

Extremely disappointing experience - rude, arrogant and snobbish staff. Second time at Moda. We were given a $300 voucher as a wedding present and came to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. This wasn’t a “discount” or voucher but a $300 prior payment. Staff made us feel they were doing us a “favour” by honouring the voucher at such a “busy time of year” - main waiter was incredibly rude. We asked for a photo (to send to the person that originally purchased the present) only to be told he was too busy - restaurant was not full. When I politely asked for another waiter to take the picture instead he begrudgingly obliged, not before once again making a rude & disparaging remark. The food was ok - tried “Javier’s Table” - seemed an odd/confused combination. Wouldn’t recommend and won’t be returning for a third time. Many better options with friendly service in Brisbane.

Was nice, delicious entrees, quality main and tasty desserts. I'm not sure it's exactly value for money, but if price isn't an issue and in saying that it is a fine dining restaurant I'd say it's worth visiting. Staff were very friendly to us and we had a scoopon voucher, so not sure what other reviews are on about.
