Story

The Mitchell brothers came to Australia after building a successful empire as diamond miners in South Africa. They opened their first store in Russell Street, Melbourne in 1909 and Mitchell's has been trading ever since. This store has become an iconic landmark in the Melbourne CBD.

Having traded for more than 100 years Mitchells Adventure has built its business around providing good old fashioned customer service and fantastic value for money products whilst staying true to its heritage.

Mitchell's success has been built round its people and its ability to balance new innovative products with products that have stood the test of time. With stores now all over Australia and continuing to grow, Mitchell's will build its future on continuing to deliver on its strengths.

Mitchells is still family owned and operated now under the control of the 5th generation. We have the ability through our extensive network to supply both retail and wholesale needs anywhere in Australia and overseas.
