Very happy with the service received, pleasant and courteous staff. Premises very clean and well appointed. We are stopping over in Townsville for 10 days while passing through, our vehicle is close to the 100,000km service big service, called up to check availability and they were able to squeeze us in.nWe asked for a quote and glad we did, initial invoice was well above quote. As everything was fine with the car and no extra work was required we questioned the final invoice, staff were wounderfull and review the invoice, ended up paying just above our quote.nWe are very happy with the work completed, car is once again driving like a new car. They have a car body scan for dint repairs, didn't take up their offer however very reasonable pricedwish we had.nAfter using Toyota Service for 30 years and around 15 dealership, we would rate this dealership amongst the top we have visited.
I visited today to inquire about purchasing a new Toyota Yaris Cross GX, and Mark was simply outstanding. Despite it being only his second week, he patiently answered all of my many questions and even evaluated my car for a trade-in.nnWhat impressed me most was how he calmly and thoroughly worked through all my options — weighing up buying new and waiting three months versus purchasing a second-hand vehicle and driving away immediately. At no point did I ever feel pressured or talked down to, which, as a young woman, I truly appreciated.nnMark’s knowledge, patience, and professionalism made the whole process a pleasure. Thank you so much for all your time and guidance — I couldn’t recommend him more highly!
Absolutely love my new BZ4X! I was initially a little scared of having a fully electric vehicle, but I really had nothing to worry about. There are plenty of chargers at the Mike Carney Toyota dealership which are fast and super easy to use. The MyToyota app lets me know how fast its charging and when its finished - I often pop over to Domain while its charging and grab a coffee I can also get a free coffee in the dealership lounge too!. Sean from the Sales Team was wonderful in showing me all the features of the vehicle and there are many and even setting everything up to personally suit me, my needs and my safety. Everyone I encountered at Mike Carney Toyota were ready with a a smile, friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend!
1-Star Review — Toyota TownsvillennThe sales rep we first dealt with was brilliant and understanding, but got nervous when we questioned why we were offered a used Hilux at a new-car price. Then the sales manager came in, talked down to us, and tried to push lies about a “previous buyer” to force a deal.nnWe are Indigenous, but not stupid — we walked away.nnWe ended up buying a brand-new 2026 Ford, paid cash, getting delivered in the New Year. Toyota Townsville? Not impressed. Go in with your eyes wide open. MERRY CHRISTMAS
I recently purchased a new RAV4 through Jamaine Gillin at Mike Carney, and I was extremely happy with the entire experience. Jamaine was incredibly helpful, professional, and friendly throughout the whole process. He took the time to thoroughly explain how to use all the features of the new car, which made me feel much more confident and comfortable as a new owner. His excellent service attitude and attention to detail really stood out. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a new vehicle!
