I purchased a Bally light pendant from Mica Lighting to replace one that had accidentally been broken at our store. I selected the insurance option during checkout, and the pendant arrived safely.nA couple of weeks later, another pendant was broken, so I went back to order a replacement. This time, I didn’t choose the insurance — the first one had arrived fine, so I assumed it wouldn’t be an issue.nUnfortunately, the second pendant arrived completely shattered. I contacted Mica, sent through the requested photos, and was told a claim would be processed. A few days later, I received an email saying that because I didn’t select insurance, they wouldn’t be replacing it. That was it.nI tried calling them, but their number just redirected me to email. I followed up again via email, explaining the situation and that I was a returning customer. I even offered to pay extra for shipping. It’s been over four weeks — still no response.nAt this point, it wasn’t even about the $150 — I just needed a working light.nI ended up finding the same product through Oz Lighting. I spoke directly with a salesperson named Josh, who was incredibly helpful and responsive. I ordered the pendant again, without insurance, and it arrived — shattered. I called Josh, and he immediately sent out a replacement. That one also arrived broken. I couldn’t believe it.nAfter another call, we agreed not to risk shipping again, and I arranged for a driver to collect the next one in person. Josh later confirmed that even they were receiving this product damaged from the supplier. Finally, after a few days, two new pendants arrived in perfect condition, and I had my driver inspect and collect them.nThanks to Oz Lighting’s amazing customer service, I now have everything back in order. But after my experience, I’ll never shop with Mica Lighting again — poor communication, no accountability, and no regard for returning customers.
The team at Mica Lighting are so helpful and lovely! Trying to restore some of the old art deco and mid century lights in our house and I didn’t know where to start with finding the right parts. The Mica team helped me source all the right materials to bring life back into the light fitting. All with friendly smile and a good chat. I’ll definitely be back!

Their customer service is so bad. Return policy is so doggy. I lost $200.00 for nothing because I returned the item. Don’t buy them unless you are surely want waste your money for nothing.nInitially, the business agreed to accept the return of the Polished Brass and allowed me to keep the Opal Matt Glass. Based on this agreement, I returned the brass and paid $60.00 in postage. They then deducted an additional $60.00 for the original postage they charged me.nLater, I was asked to return the glass as well. I paid another $60.00 in postage. In total. I paid $180.00 just in return postage.nThe item itself cost $600.00. Altogether, I am out $800.00, and no refund has been issued.nFor transparency, after I emailed them my bank account details yesterday, their public comment on my previous review was removed. I am reposting this review so others aware. I have retained tracking numbers for all returned items.
We started off rocky but once I realised I was the one to make the mistake, Mica Lighting went out of their way to find the error and adjust. The lights turned up in perfect condition and are an awesome feature in our newly renovated bathroom. Thank you. Will definitely be back for more lights
