"Nestled next to the Duhig Building, Merlo Coffee at the University of Queensland UQ offers students, staff and visitors the best coffee on campus. With indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the Great Court, the cafe is a great place to gather with friends, undertake meetings or study while enjoying a coffee and bite to eat for breakfast, morning tea or lunch.We can also take the stress out of catering. We can supply a wide and tasty selection of wraps, sandwiches, salads, sweet treats, drinks and, of course, coffee. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options are all available. Catering orders can be collected from our UQ Cafe, we just require 24hrs notice."

Merlo Coffee at The University of Queensland has a reliable standard of coffee. The business is takeaway and table service and at times becomes uncomfortable with the crowd awaiting to pick up their takeaway, while others try to line up for ordering and competing with the through foot traffic coming from the main entrance of a library and with Merlo servers trying to get to the tables. It can detract from the experience which leads to visits of other coffee places that are not so intense. Sometimes you just need a relaxing coffee.

Nice to have merlo coffee but my flat white was more cappuccino. Tasted good nonetheless

It's always about the coffee. So, fresh air, great staff, the shade...lovely. But, its about the wonderful coffee.
